Nigel McGuinness, who was serving as the color commentator on both NXT and NXT UK, has reportedly been furloughed by WWE.
First reported by F4WOnline, McGuinness was part of the furloughs that were made for cost-effectiveness in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic from this past April. McGuinness joins the long list of talents, writers, and producers that were released or furloughed from that time.
McGuinness signed with WWE in 2017 as a commentator on the WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament. From there he would replace Corey Graves as color commentator of NXT, while also serving on 205 Live and NXT UK.
