According to a new report from POST Wrestling, WWE is currently planning an ‘ambitious’ TV taping schedule that would cover them through WrestleMania 36.
As of Thursday, multiple sources stated to POST Wrestling that WWE will be taping the remaining episodes of Friday Night SmackDown and Raw leading into WrestleMania 36.
It is also being said the TV taping schedule would include the March 23 and March 30 episodes of Monday Night Raw, the March 27 and April 3 episodes of SmackDown, and could possibly include the two WrestleMania 36 shows.
This past Wednesday, WWE announced that WrestleMania 36 will be now be a two-night event airing Saturday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5.
We also reported Thursday that WrestleMania 36, which will be hosted by former NFL Player Rob Gronkowski, is going to take place in multiple locations.
It should also be noted that NXT is not listed as part of this possible taping schedule. Wednesday’s night’s NXT had modified format that contained pre-taped in-depth character profiles, story breakdowns and never-before-seen interviews and content. It appears that this will be the new temporary format for NXT going forward.
The report also indicates that one source with knowledge of the situation says that the only changes to the WrestleMania 36 lineup is the elimination of the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and the Women’s Battle Royal.
We will continue to follow this story as more becomes available.
