WWE held a WrestleMania 37 press conference on Tuesday at the construction site for the new SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California.
Friday Night SmackDown Superstar Roman Reigns and RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch represented WWE and presented custom WWE Title Belts to SoFi and Hollywood Park Managing Director Jason Gannon, Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr., and Lee Zeidman who is President of the STAPLES Center and LA Live.
We reported this past Monday, that WrestleMania would returning to the Los Angeles area for the first time since WrestleMania 21 in 2005.
WrestleMania 37 will be held at the new SoFi stadium on March 28, 2021.
SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, which is currently under construction, is located at the former site of the Hollywood Park Racetrack, and is approximately three miles from LAX International Airport and is southeast of The Forum.
SoFi stadium which will be the new home to the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, is expected to open this July.
The Stadium will hold 70,240, with the ability to be expandable to hold up to 100,240 for major events such as WrestleMania 37.
In addition to WrestleMania 37, the new stadium will also host Super Bowl 55 in February 2022, the College Football National Championship in January 2023, and the 2028 Summer Olympics.
