During Tuesday night’s FOX New Year’s Eve special from Times Square in New York, Mojo Rawley pinned R-Truth to become the new WWE 24/7 Champion.
Guest host Maria Menounos was interviewing R-Truth. She then revealed she was wearing a WWE referee uniform, and that is when Rawley rolled up R-Truth to become the new 24/7 Champion.
Just moments after his victory, Rawley was confronted by Elias, who then smashed a guitar over Rawley’s head allowing R-Truth to pin Rawley and win back the 24/7 Championship.
As of this report, R-Truth in now a 30-time WWE 24/7 Champion.
The special, which is hosted by Steve Harvey also featured Roman Reigns vs. Dolph Ziggler which was taped at Little Ceasars Arena in Detroit, Michigan after last week’s SmackDown went off the air.
Reigns speared Ziggler for the three count.
