Jimmy was in Detroit, MI on Saturday night through Monday morning with “The Animal” Batista leading into the night of the WWE Over the Limit Pay-Per-View, along with the morning after the event. The following highlights are courtesy of Monday Night Mayhem’s official correspondent, Paterson From New Jersey:
What was Batista like leading up to Over The Limit Pay-Per-View: “I think Dave, in terms of how he was feeling going in, and Dave never says stuff like this…I think he just wanted to get this done. Dave is one of those guys that is really uncredited, like all these guys say that ‘He’s a real business man,’ or ‘The Undertaker loves this business,’ or ‘Triple H loves this business.’ All these guys love the business, and there’s almost this idea that guys like Dave doesn’t love the business, but guess what? The guy I know really loves the business, and he wants to main event, and when he main events, he wants to give the best possible bout out there. For the most part, I think he did a nice job, but he does want to get out of there. He really wants out.”
Batista’s upcoming plans: “The writing is on the wall. I’m not at liberty to say what’s going to happen, but I think he is going to ride off into the sunset. There are so many things up in the air about what he is going to do professionally after this & which way he’s gonna go, but I believe his days as a wrestler are numbered.”
