WWE has filed multiple trademarks on former WCW and ECW event names, as well as a well-known catchphrase.
It is reported that WWE was not happy about Cody Rhodes getting the trademark for “Bash at the Beach” and naming an AEW event after it, as well as SuperBrawl and Slamboree. WWE now holds trademarks on the following former WCW and ECW event names:
– Fully Loaded
– Living Dangerously
– Heat Wave
– Anarchy Rulz
– World War 3
– Chi-Town Rumble
– Sin
– Souled Out
– New Blood Rising
– Hog Wild
– Capital Combat
– Road Wild
– Greed
– Uncensored
– Spring Stampede
– Mayhem
– Beach Blast
– Massacre on 34th Street
– Hardcore Heaven
Two other terms were trademarked: “The Day Of” and “Eat Sleep Conquer Repeat.” The first is the name of a behind the scenes show on the WWE Network. The second was the catchphrase Paul Heyman created for Brock Lesnar.
All were trademarked using the following description:
“Entertainment services, namely, a show about professional wrestling; entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing wrestling news and information through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information.”
