WWE has confirmed that Xavier Woods has suffered an Achilles Tendon injury at today’s WWE Live Event in Sydney, Australia.
The injury occurred during a SmackDown Tag Team Championship match against The Revival. Woods was teaming with Big E when he landed awkwardly on his foot and fell. The referee threw up the “X” sign to signal to the back that Woods was legitimately injured.
WWE released a statement on their website, saying:
“Woods sustained the injury at a WWE Live Event in Sydney, Australia, on Sunday night and will be unable to finish WWE’s Australian tour.”
There is no word yet on the severity of the injury or how long Woods will be out for. On behalf of the staff of Wrestleview.com, we would like to wish Woods a speedy recovery.
