WWE has announced some big matches and segments for the season premiere of Monday Night Raw next week on September 30 from Phoenix, Arizona.
Seth Rollins will be defending the WWE Universal Championship against Rey Mysterio, six days before Rollins is supposed to defend the title against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt inside Hell in a Cell. That match would be changed if Mysterio were to win. Mysterio won the opportunity by winning a Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match last night on RAW by defeating Ricochet, AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Robert Roode.
Also advertised is an appearance by Brock Lesnar, four days before he challenges Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship on the network debut of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX. We will also see Sasha Banks take on one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss.
Finally, The Miz will host a very special edition of Miz TV with two WWE Hall of Famers in Hulk Hogan and “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair.
