We had reported last Thursday that WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso (Jonathan Fatu) was arrested early Thursday morning for driving under the influence near Pensacola, Florida.
WEAR-TV in Pensacola, FL recently released more details regarding Jimmy’s Uso’s DUI arrest for last Thursday.
According to the police report, at 1:30 am local time a deputy was dispatched out the area of Pine Forest and Nine Mile Road in reference to a possible DUI complaint. The off-duty officer said the vehicle left Pine Forest Road and continued northbound.
The deputy was advised by an off-duty officer that a vehicle was traveling westbound on Interstate 10 in an excess of a 100 mph – drifting from left to right and going out of its lane. The vehicle then drove into Ticket Spots Bar. When the deputy arrived at the scene, the car was gone.
The deputy was parked at Publix when he saw a vehicle turn from Pine Forest Road onto Highway 297A, rapidly accelerating and almost hitting another vehicle. Fatu’s vehicle speed was clocked at 86 mph (the speed limit is 45 mph).
When the deputy requested Fatu’s driver license, registration and proof of insurance he appeared to have some issues holding the documents in his hands. The deputy stated in the report he observed Fatu to have bloodshot, watery, droopy eyelids, dilated pupils long with slow and slurred speech.
The arrest report says the deputy could smell an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver side window, at which he requested Fatu to step out of the vehicle to speak with him in front of the patrol car.
The deputy said Fatu had to be told several times to get out of the car. Once Fatu got out of the car, he appeared to be unsteady on his feet. Fatu agreed to ride with the deputy, but seemed to be confused and asked what was happening.
The deputy explained to Fatu he was going to give him a ride to a nearby adjacent parking lot to conduct a Field Sobriety Test. Fatu then began asking if he needed a lawyer and if he was being detained.
Fatu took his cell phone from his pocket and attempted to put the phone towards the deputy’s face. The deputy then placed Fatu in handcuffs and placed him under arrest for a DUI.
Also according to the report, Fatu began to become uncooperative and had to be told numerous times to have a seat in the patrol car. While in the patrol car, Fatu told the deputy he was uncomfortable with it and wanted to speak to another deputy.
Also according to the arrest report, while heading to the jail, the deputy had to roll down the back windows of his patrol car due to the overwhelming smell of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle.
Fatu was booked with a DUI charge at 3:04 a.m. There is still no word on what his blood alcohol level was at the time of his arrest. He was then later released from jail after posting $1,000 bond, and is scheduled for an August 15 court appearance.
This past February Uso was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction in Detroit after his wife, Trinity Fatu (Naomi), was pulled over after driving the wrong way down a one-way street. Jimmy got out of the car and attempted to fight the police officers.
