According to multiple outlets, Natalya and Alexa Bliss are both making the trip to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for this Friday’s WWE Super ShowDown event.
Other than WWE commentator Renee Young, who was part of the WWE Crown Jewel event in November 2018, Natalya and Alexa Bliss are the second and third female performers to travel to Saudi Arabia.
There has been an internal push within WWE since March to have women wrestle on this show. WWE has been going back and forth with the Saudi General Sports Authority attempting to get this match approved for WWE Super ShowDown. While WWE has yet to receive the official go-ahead to have Bliss and Natalya wrestle, the company flew them out to Saudi Arabia in hopes of getting approval before showtime.
WWE has controversially not featured any of their female performers in an in-ring presentation since they began their 10-year relationship with the Saudi General Sports Authority last year.
Wrestleview.com will have live coverage of WWE Super ShowDown this Friday beginning at 2:00 p.m. Eastern (1:00 CT).
