According The Hollywood Reporter WWE star John Cena will be starting in a new Netflix action comedy yet to be named that will be directed by and also starring Jason Bateman.
The report states that Bateman will re-team with “Game Night” writer Mark Perez as a script writer for the untitled project which is said to have a “Game Night” vibe to the plot. The story for the new comedy centers around a family that get’s stuck in an old abounded movie studio where the sets come to life and the family members find themselves stuck in various movies.
In addition, the report also states that Cena is prepping for a family comedy film entitled “Playing With Fire” which is set to begin shooting on February 4. According to the Internet Movie Database the film is scheduled for release in March 2020.
Cena’s next major movie role will be in the action film “Project X-traction” alongside Jackie Chan who also directed the film which is currently in post-production and is scheduled for release sometime this year as per the Internet Movie Database.
