We reported yesterday that WWE was pushing a storyline coming out of RAW that Braun Strowman had “sustained serious injuries” following an attack by Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Baron Corbin last night.
It turns out the storyline was a cover for a legitimate injury in Strowman’s elbow at the moment. The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online reports that Strowman has bone spurs in his elbow and is scheduled to undergo surgery as a result.
The same report indicated that while the injury isn’t considered to be serious to the extent of Strowman missing months at time a time, his status for the TLC PPV in four weeks, where he is scheduled to wrestle Baron Corbin, is touch and go.
As reported earlier, the stipulation for Strowman vs. Corbin at TLC is that if Strowman wins, Corbin loses all authority as Acting General Manager of RAW and Strowman would go on to face Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble in January for the Universal Championship. If Corbin wins, he gets to be the permanent General Manager of RAW going forward.
