Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that newly instead WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan will be hosting this Friday’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.
The news, which was also reported by F4WOnline and PWInsider, comes just a few hours after Hogan was advertised for the event over on WWE.com this afternoon. Hogan has since been removed from the listing, with an official announcement expected shortly.
Hogan’s appearance will mark his first time back on WWE programming since 2015, when he parted ways with the company after racially charged audio was released to the public leading to a long and successful legal battle against Gawker.
Hogan told the Orlando Sentinel last week that he was factored into plans at one point for Crown Jewel, among other plans for his reintroduction to WWE programming after he was officially reinstated into the company’s Hall of Fame back in July.
WWE has not formally announced the Hogan news as of this writing, although attempts were made by Wrestleview.com to confirm the reports and not returned.
