Vince, Linda and Stephanie McMahon all attended Bruno Sammartino’s funeral service earlier this morning in Pittsburgh according to The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online.
The funeral, which took place at 10:00 a.m. local time, was held at St. Sebastian Church. Eulogies by Larry Richert and Dr. Frank Costa were part of the ceremony.
Stephanie McMahon read a speech written by her husband Paul “Triple H” Levesque. Triple H was unable to attend as he is in Saudi Arabia for this Friday’s Greatest Royal Rumble.
Also in attendance at the funeral included Dominic DeNucci (who was friends with Sammartino for more than 50 years), Larry Zbyszko and Shane Douglas. Former NFL star and Pittsburgh Steeler Franco Harris attended the visitation over the weekend.
WWE will air a documentary about Sammartino tonight after RAW on the WWE Network.
