Corey Graves on his transition to WWE commentary
Rolling Stone is featuring an interview with Corey Graves where he talks about his transition from wrestling in NXT to joining the WWE commentary team.
Graves noted his frustration about being pulled from the ring permanently.
“I understand why I was shut down now, but at the time, I didn’t want to hear it. I worked my entire life to get here for this thing – and it was gone.”
Graves talked about receiving a contract to become a full-time commentator in 2014.
“I think I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t always something of a little glimmer of hope that something miraculously would change. But I’ve fully embraced my role now… I’m cool with wearing suits and talking about other people for a while, because I can hopefully do this a lot longer.”
