“Inside Ring of Honor”
Steve Corino says that he could not plan it any better. In an attempt to prove which one is the biggest moron, the Briscoes beat each other up to a pulp. Mark is out with a concussion while Jay reinjured his shoulder and injured his back. In one week, destiny shines on SCUM. His best friend, Matt Hardy will become the ROH Champion when he defeats Jay Briscoe. Nigel McGuinness cannot blame SCUM because Jay and Mark did this. Next week, Matt Hardy becomes champion. In two weeks, they go into Steel Cage Warfare and they destroy Ring of Honor. At the end of that night, Ring of Honor burns..
Kevin Steen says that Nigel had no choice to put him in this match. Nigel is worried because he is in the match, but Nigel does not have to worry because he will rid ROH of SCUM.
Michael Elgin says that he knows the heritage of the Maple Leaf Gardens. When Nigel has to think of who should be in the main event on August 3rd, he has to look no further than Michael Elgin. “Unbreakable” is not a nickname, it is a way of life. When God said that he created all men equal, he was wrong.
Commercial
“The Prodigy” Mike Bennett w/”The 1st Lady of ROH” Maria Kanellis & “Brutal” Bob Evans vs. Nick Merriman
Code of Honor before the bell, but Bennett then hits the Box Office Smash.
Bell sounds. Photo Finish, 1-2-3!
Winner: “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett by pinfall (The Photo Finish)
After the match, Bennett gets on the mic and he asks if he should stay or should he go. That seems to be the six million dollar question. Should he stay? Maybe he will go to Connecticut and earn a paycheck. Maybe he will stay. Bennett shows everyone a Ring of Honor contract. Everyone has been begging him to stay. The fans need him to stay. Bennett says that he does not need the people, but they need him. The contract is a lucrative one and a long one so everyone will see him for a long time. The fans are so smart because they chant “Yes”. They wouldn’t know what a real star was if they bit him in the ass. People boo him, but they cheer for someone like Cheeseburger. Cheeseburger makes his way to ringside. Bennett says to Cheeseburger that they have had their problems, but these fans are so stupid, they would rather see him. Bennett says that he has a very lucrative deal so why not offer it to him and tells Cheeseburger to sign the contract. Bennett says that Cheeseburger has proven himself and he is tough and Bennett respects that. Bennett then drills Cheeseburger with a superkick. Right hands by Bennett, but Brutal Bob pulls Bennett off. Bob says that is enough to Bennett, but Bennett lays him out with the Box Office Smash. Bennett says that for far too long, the Prodigy has been promoted as one thing. But now, the Prodigy is dead. Bennett & Maria leave a fallen Brutal Bob and Cheeseburger in the ring as we go to commercial.
Commercial
Back from commercial, the music of the ROH champion hits as Jay Briscoe makes his way to the ring with his shoulder is taped up. Jay has a mic and says that there has been a lot of speculation after Best in the World about his health. He did reinjure his shoulder, but he is still breathing. If Matt Hardy thinks that he is forfeiting the title, he’s wrong. He’ll have to pry the title out of his cold dead hands. See ya next week!
