Ring of Honor on Sinclair Results
January 14, 2012
Report by: Jason Namako of Wrestleview.com

Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s Ring of Honor on Sinclair recap. If you all are ready, then let’s get on with the show!

This week, its the 2nd of 2 editions of what is being billed as “Ring of Honor Road Rage” as this week, we will see highlights from Ring of Honor’s show back in December from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC.

Also, for the 2nd straight week, our announcers are Kevin Kelly & Ring of Honor Executive Producer Jim Cornette with Nigel McGuinness away in England visiting family.

We have only 1 match on tap for this week’s show as it will be a clipped version of the history-making 80 minute long 8 man elimination tag team match.

Jim Cornette says that due to history being made with this 80 minute tag team match, they have decided to scrap what they had as a format and bring as much of the 80 minute match as possible in the show.

We go to video of pre-match comments from both teams before we go to the match itself.

Main Event in a 8-Man Elimination Tag Team Match with $10,000 for the winning team: TEAM BLACK (The House of Truth – Roderick Strong & “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin w/Truth Martini & “The Baddest Tag Team on the Planet” #DemBoys The Briscoes – Mark & Jay) vs. TEAM RED (Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin), “The Generic Luchador” El Generico and “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards)

My Thoughts

WOW, what a match. I had some definite qualms when I heard about this match last month, but boy did it deliver. There was no real lull in action, and it was really smart to do the crazy brawling towards the middle of the match to keep the crowd into it, which they were for the whole 80 minutes of action. Got to tip my cap to that crowd, most crowds would have been dead as a doornail for a match of that length, but that crowd stuck with it and was hot for everything that transpired. My only thing I can say in closing is three simple words, WATCH…..THIS…..MATCH!

My Grade: A-
