It’s time once again for your weekly ROH on HDNet recap! So, sit back, relax, open up a brew or a pop, and get ready for some RING OF HONOR WRESTLING!!!!
Here’s how things went down this week:
-The show opens up with a shot of Brutal Bob Evans and “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett making their way to their seats in the front row. Apparently they bought tickets to check out the action in the ring!
ROH WORLD TV TITLE MATCH
EDDIE EDWARDS (champ) def. COLT “BOOM BOOM” CABANA
-After the TV title match, Mike Bennett and Bob Evans climb over the barrier and Bennett tries to shake Eddie Edwards hand. As soon as Edwards agrees to shake his hand, Bennett pulls his hand away and leaves the ring.
-Interview backstage with “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels. Daniels is now a full time roster member of ROH and he speaks about his time and competition in ROH.
–Commercial–
-Back in the ring, Kyle Durden is in the ring with Kevin Steen and Steve Corino to talk about Steen’s match with El Generico at Final Battle. Steen grabs the mic and starts talking to the mask that he pulled off Generico’s head 3 months ago. He says that he will beat Generico and pull his mask off at Final Battle. Steen then says that if he doesn’t win, he will leave. Steen is a twisted S.O.B.!
-Hogewood hypes the Final Battle tag match between Sara Del Rey & her partner against Daizee Haze & Awesome Kong. We then cut to interviews backstage with Haze and Del Rey talking about the match.
EL GENERICO def. BOBBY SHIELDS
-After the match, Generico grabs a chair and the Steen t-shirt (the one with Generico’s head on a steel chair), sets it up in the ring and suplexes Shields onto the chair. Generico is twisted and ready for Kevin Steen at Final Battle!

-Back in the ring, The Kings of Wrestling are ready for their public workout. We see Shane Hagadorn dressed in his wrestling gear, along with Claudio, Chris Hero, and some guy named Blaine Rage. Hero says that they have to get Hagadorn in shape for their match with the Briscoe family. Hero called it an exhibition match. Claudio puts on a ref shirt to officiate the match. Hero gives out instructions during the match. Several times Hero tells Rage to follow the rules and let Hagadorn do his moves on Rage. Basically, Hero wants Rage to be a wrestling dummy for Hagadorn. At one point, Rage has had enough and he shoves Hagadorn, then both Claudio and Hero get pissed at Rage and they do their KRS-One finisher on Rage. Hagadorn then covers Rage for the exhibition victory. We see a replay of what went down.

-Backstage Kyle Durden is with Roddrick Strong and Truth Martini interviewing Strong about his match next week with Austin Airies and about Strong’s Final Battle match with Davey Richards.
MAIN EVENT
DAVEY RICHARDS def. ERICK STEVENS
FINAL THOUGHTS
We are coming down to the final 11 days or so till Final Battle! Tonight’s show was a good hype to the internet pay per view coming up soon. We saw some good matches and bad matches in the broadcast tonight, which left me shaking my head a lot, but still had some good segments as well.
-Tonight we started off with the TV title match with Cabana and Edwards. I knew coming into this match that the title was not going to change hands. Cabana gave it everything he had against Edwards, but still did not pull off the victory tonight to capture his first title. Edwards is a great competitor in the ring and in my opinion will probably be the TV champ for a little while longer. Great back and forth action between these two. I’m looking forward to seeing both of these men, plus a couple more from ROH, in January at a local wrestling event here in Indianapolis. Insanity Pro Wrestling is never gonna be the same when ROH guys make an appearance.
-What can I say about El Generico? Well, the one word that comes to mind is twisted! As I have been watching ROH for at least 6 months now, I’m beginning to be more impressed with this storyline. This is your classic mind game feud between two men who want to rip each other apart! I had the chance to see Generico and Steen’s match at Glory By Honor back in September and it was a good fight, but the Final Battle match that these two have is gonna be even better! Will the twisted Kevin Steen unmask Generico like he says he’s gonna or will Generico get the upper hand and force Steen to leave ROH? One way or another, this match is gonna be brutal and bloody! I believe Steen’s time is done in ROH!
-The main event match tonight between Richards and Stevens was pretty exciting at times. Davey Richards is simply the best wrestler in ROH today! Roddrick Strong has a very tough match up at Final Battle with one of the best technical wrestlers. I love everything about Davey Richards and I believe that we are looking at our new ROH World Champion! The only reason that Strong would retain at Final Battle is because of that ass Truth Martini, who I hope gets his mother lovin’ ass whooped by Richards, after he takes care of Strong!
-Finally, I’m gonna end my final thoughts with this…..The Kings of Wrestling’s so called “workout” tonight was lame and stupid. There is no way that Shane Hagadorn is gonna keep up with Papa Briscoe in the 6 man tag match at Final Battle! What I saw in the ring tonight was a perfect example of how the Kings think they are better than everyone else. I mean, they brought a guy in to be a wrestling dummy and basically kicked his ass to prove what? That they are better than everyone? Week after week, we see these assholes walking around, carrying Starbucks coffee and the tag titles talking about how they can’t be beat! They don’t wrestle in title matches!!!! That’s why they are still the champs?!!! I thought champions defend their titles, not win them once and call it a day. I mean, how does that mean anything if they don’t at least loose the titles or face equal competition?! Well, at Final Battle, I hope that Jay and Mark Briscoe give Claudio and Hero a good fight! Then, after the Briscoe’s beat the Kings, I hope to see a title match for the tag titles! You call yourself the Kings of Wrestling? More like the Douche Bags of Wrestling! Can’t wait to see the Kings get dethroned real soon!
