“Usted no me puede ver” anyone? Anyone ready for the SiNacion?
It seems that John Cena’s “cousin”, Juan Cena, has been announced for house shows at which John Cena had been advertised, including a show at MSG . This has all kinds of possibilities of being hilarious and a throwback to a classic wrestling angle if done right.
For anyone whose wrestling viewing started with John Cena, Dusty Rhodes did the classic Midnight Rider gimmick just days after he lost a Championship Wrestling from Florida lights out cage match to Kevin Sullivan (with the help of Jake Roberts playing Santa Claus) on Christmas Day 1982 at the Bayfront Center in St. Petersburg, FL The Midnight Rider then continued the program with Sullivan all through the State of Florida during early 1983 until Rhodes’s “loser leave” stipulation was finished.
As long as Vince McMahon doesn’t go for every bad Mexican stereotype in this (WWE is not exactly known for sophisticated humor), this could could be hilarious. Cena has always been McMahon’s loyal soldier and will do anything he’s asked…so if this makes TV…it has the potential to be hilarious. What would be even better is if Cena knows some Spanish. Wade Barrett will inevitably play the Kevin Sullivan role and scream along with NXT that “Everyone knows this is Cena….”, Cena will get over on him (and if Vince is smart, sell a bunch of “SiNacion” t-shirts along the way) until Barrett demands that Cena be reinstated, somewhere around either Royal Rumble or even Wrestlemania, if it works and they want to extend this storyline.
