Commentary welcomes us to the show as Will Ospreay’s music hits, signaling the arrival of the Aerial Assassin for our opening contest, a first round match in the men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament! Big pop for Ospreay as he enters the ring, and out next is Kevin Knight who has a tall task ahead of him, replacing Jay White in the tournament as he enters to a decent reaction from the crowd on his way to the ring to get this match underway!

Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament First Round Match: Will Ospreay vs. Kevin Knight

The crowd chants for Ospreay before the two men lock up, with Will reversing an arm wringer only for Knight to turn it back around, taking Ospreay to the mat. They hit the ropes for an exchange that ends with Kevin taking Ospreay to the corner before following with a sliding low elbow. Both men back to their feet as Knight takes to the ropes again, only to be sent to the outside by Ospreay who connects with a dive. He brings Knight back in the ring for a cover, but only gets a two count.

Bringing Kevin to his feet, Will connects with a chop in the corner before locking in an abdominal stretch…only for Knight to escape with a hip toss! Ospreay is quick to get back up, however, taking the fight to Kevin for another close nearfall off a corkscrew kick. Knight gets back to his feet, laying into Ospreay before hitting the ropes…only for Ospreay to counter with a Spanish Fly forcing both men to the mat!

The ref begins a standing ten count but both men are fairly quick to get back up, with Ospreay grabbing Knight by the wrist as he lays in some chops…but Kevin responds in kind with some chops of his own! The action continues until Knight sends Ospreay to the outside, but the Aerial Assassin tries to evade a dive until Kevin changes positioning and catches him on the floor instead. The two men end up on the apron until Ospreay slips out, looking for a Styles Clash…until Kevin counters for a DDT sending Will onto the ramp!

The ref begins a new count as Knight rises to his feet, laying into Ospreay before sending him back into the ring for another DDT and the cover…but Ospreay kicks out at two! Both men are up again and Ospreay counters into a Styles Clash attempt…only to once again be countered by Knight, who hits a hurricanrana on the Aerial Assassin! Cover by Knight…and another two count before Ospreay kicks out! Will gets up, going up high…and crashing into an Anti-Air by Knight! Kevin goes up top for a rotating frog splash on Ospreay, the impact hurting him enough for a pause before he makes the cover…and that costs him the win as Ospreay manages to kick out once more!

Both men slowly get to their feet before Ospreay hits the ropes, only for Kevin to counter into a backslide for a two…and Ospreay breaks free for a Styles Clash! Cover by Ospreay this time…and it’s Kevin Knight who kicks out at two! Oscutter connects, but that only gets him a nearfall…leading to a much-needed Hidden Blade that gets Ospreay the win!

Winner via pinfall and advancing in the men’s Owen Hart Cup: Will Ospreay

After a quick celebration, we get a show of sportsmanship as Knight and Ospreay shake hands. Knight takes his leave from the ring before Ospreay continues to celebrate, taking it up the ramp in the process.

Video Package: Chris Jericho has told his Learning Tree students to prove themselves, and Big Bill and Bryan Keith look to do just that as they have earned the right to challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Championship by facing a very game Hurt Syndicate!

Back at ringside, Big Bill and Bryan Keith make their way out for our next match. These students look to make their teacher proud as they enter the ring. Out next are the tag champs as Hurt Syndicate come out, the crowd chanting “We hurt people” as they head to the ring. MVP joins commentary as this match gets underway!

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) defends against Big Bill and Bryan Keith

We start off with Lashley and Keith, the latter heading to the corner to get a breather and force Bobby to back off…and just as quickly tags in Big Bill! Lashley circles the mat before locking up with Bill, laying into him before hitting the ropes…but Bill cuts him off, sending Lashley to the outside! This forces MVP to leave the desk and regroup with his pals as the ref begins a count. “We hurt people” chants continue as MVP heads back to the desk and Bobby enters the ring again, tagging in Shelton to keep the Redwood down to size before he tags back in for some shoulder charges in the corner.

Shelton tags back in for a standing switch on Bill, who backs up into his corner for a tag to Keith to keep him down. Cover by Bryan for a two count, but Benjamin fights back to force Keith to the outside for more damage. “We hurt people” chants ring out again as Shelton enters the ring to break the count, leaving to deal more hurt on the Bad Apple before bringing him back in the ring for a tag to Lashley.

Lashley lifts Keith up for a delayed vertical suplex that gets a nearfall, continuing to dish out pain for another nearfall after. Tag made to Benjamin as Keith struggles for one of his own, but counters out of a single leg by Shelton to make the tag to Big Bill! Bill gets Lashley and Benjamin set up in opposite corners for running splashes…but a moment of pause forces him to go for a ride when Shelton hits a German suplex on the Redwood!

Bill manages to fight back for a nearfall before going for a chokeslam on Benjamin…who counters with an arm drag! Chaos ensues when Keith tries to run in, only to be laid out by Lashley running him. Bobby hoists the Redwood on his shoulder but is sent into the corner for snake eyes by Bill instead, as MVP gets up to argue with the ref about what’s going on.

Bill catches Lashley with a boot on the outside, but is turned around for a big right hand by MJF who uses his Dynamite Diamond Ring to knock out the Redwood! He cheers on Lashley as Shelton focuses on Bryan Keith back in the ring. German suplex by Benjamin is followed by a spear by Lashley, before Shelton puts a boot on Bryan for the win.

Winners via pinfall and still AEW World Tag Team Champions: Hurt Syndicate

Hurt Syndicate celebrate, though they still appear less than pleased about MJF’s involvement in the finish of the match as MVP regroups with them on the ramp.

Video Package: Mercedes Moné enters this year’s women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament, and has quite the hurdle in the opening round as she faces a former TBS Champion in Julia Hart tonight at Dynasty!

Out first for this First Round match is Julia Hart to a decent reaction as the former champion heads to the ring, before the reigning TBS Champion comes out next to a pop from the crowd. Mercedes Moné heads to the ring, and this match is underway!

Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament First Round Match: Mercedes Moné vs. Julia Hart

Hart stares down her opponent from the corner before the two women circle the mat and lock up, with Julia quickly giving an answer to the champ’s offense early on. She takes Mercedes to the corner, but Moné catches her with a drop toe hold to turn things around. Backstage we get a look at Harley Cameron and Mini Moné watching on as the champ sets Hart up for what appears to be a tombstone piledriver…only for Julia to reverse for a nearfall. Moné follows with one of her own before both women get back to their feet.

Moné tries to use the ropes but slips, much to the chagrin of the crowd as she sends Julia to the corner instead. Hart uses the distraction to get an opening, showing how a rope walk actually works as she goes Old School on the champ…before mounting up on Moné to slam her head against the mat! The action spills to the outside as Mercedes manages to catch Hart with a Meteora off the apron, sending her to the floor.

She brings Julia back to the ring, hitting the ropes for a kick and a nearfall. She reacts to the dueling chants from the crowd before cinching in a chinlock…but Julia manages to roll through for a nearfall to break the hold! Moné goes after her for a nearfall of her own, looking frustrated as she brings Hart to her feet for a vertical suplex. It’s the first of the amigos, and a second one follows…only for Hart to break free from the third! Hart goes after the champ but gets a pair of knees in her chest for her efforts, allowing Mercedes to get another nearfall before Hart kicks out.

The frustration is mounting on Moné as she sets Julia up in a tree of woe on the turnbuckle…but Hart fights back, pulling Mercedes off the turnbuckle before evading a shoulder charge from the champ. Julia gets out of the tree of woe to get the drop on Moné on the outside, bringing her back in for a spinning DDT and the cover…but Mercedes manages to kick out!

Moné counters another DDT attempt for a lungblower, but the impact affects both women as they struggle to their feet. Money Maker is set up but Julia breaks out, countering with a jackknife counter before Moné gets up and sends Hart to the corner…only for Julia to catch the champ in the ropes for a Tarantula! The ref makes a count to break the technically illegal hold, but this allows Hart to lock in an octopus hold…until Moné sends her into the turnbuckle to force a break. Mercedes gets a nearfall for her troubles, but Hart takes her back down to the mat before going up top for a moonsault press…and takes a pair of boots to the face by Moné instead! Double dose of a backstabber by the CEO who takes control.

Both women are on their feet as Hart fights out of the grip of Moné, eventually hitting a crucifix on the champ for a nearfall…before Mercedes catches her with a Statement Maker! Hart struggles, but manages to break free of the hold…and locks in Hartless on the CEO! Moné looks like she might tap…but insteadl rolls through for a nearfall to break the hold!

Statement Maker gets locked in on Julia once more…and this time it’s Julia who rolls through for a nearfall! This doesn’t break the hold however, as Mercedes cinches the hold in even tighter before switching sides for leverage. “Julia” chants try to will the former champ back into this match and it seems to work when Hart rolls through for another nearfall…only for Mercedes to roll through for a clutch that keeps Julia down for the win!

Winner via pinfall and advancing in the women’s Owen Hart Cup: Mercedes Moné

We get a look backstage of Athena keeping an eye on Mercedes, who celebrates her win tonight on the ramp.

Video Package: Dissention among Rated FTR leads to serious doubts being raised as they challenge the Death Riders of PAC, Claudio, and Yuta for the World Trios Titles!

Back at ringside, FTR make their way to the stage followed by COPE before the trio head to the ring for our next match. This leads to a sing-along by the crowd for COPE’s theme before the Death Riders arrive through the crowd, making their way toward the ring to get this trios title match underway!

AEW World Trios Championship Match: Death Riders (PAC, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta) defend against Rated FTR (COPE, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler)

We start the match off with PAC and Dax as the crowd lets Wheeler Yuta know how they feel. PAC sent to the corner and the ref intervenes for a break, which gives PAC an opening to go after Harwood for a nearfall. Dax goes for a pin of his own but PAC counters for another nearfall in the process. PAC goes after Dax, until the latter retreats to the corner for a word of wisdom from COPE followed by the tag.

COPE goes after PAC until the Rated R Superstar is forced to the Death Riders corner for a tag to Yuta, who deals with the Philly crowd’s chants as he goes after COPE…who breaks free for a tag to Cash Wheeler! Wheeler takes, uh, Wheeler down to the mat before bringing him back to the corner for another tag back to COPE. Yuta escapes for a tag to Castagnoli, who is confronted by all three of Rated FTR setting up for a Cash powerslam off the turnbuckle. Cash looks for the cover as PAC and Yuta are sent away from the ring, but Claudio manages to kick out all the same. Wheeler sends Claudio out of the ring but is blocked from climbing the turnbuckle, allowing an opening for PAC to make the tag.

PAC lays in some heavy damage on Cash before tagging Claudio, who continues the attack before tagging Yuta in as the latter brings Cash to the mat for a chinlock. Wheeler fights to his feet, taking Yuta down with a powerslam as PAC tries to knock COPE off the apron to no avail. Tag made to Claudio as Cash looks to tag COPE…but Dax takes it instead! COPE looks confused as Harwood rushes in, laying in some hard offense on Castagnoli, PAC, and Yuta for good measure. Short arm lariat by Harwood but Claudio remains standing, leading to a big uppercut and a backslide that gets him a nearfall. COPE rushes in to cut off Yuta with a Grindhouse as Claudio and Harwood lock in dueling Sharpshooters on Cash and PAC respectively. Slapfest between Dax and Claudio before the Death Riders take control.

They send COPE and Cash out before Claudio tags Yuta, taking Dax for a giant swing into a dropkick by Yuta for the cover…but Harwood kicks out! Crowd still giving out to Yuta as he tags in Claudio, sending Dax to the corner as PAC tags in for a triple-team flurry on Harwood. Tombstone piledriver by PAC, followed by a couple fastball specials for a cover…but Cash breaks the pin!

COPE gets a tag and runs wild on the Death Riders, leading to an Impaler on PAC for a close nearfall. He sets PAC up on the turnbuckle as Cash tags in…as does Harwood, leading to a superplex followed by a Power and Glory special on PAC! Claudio stops the nearfall as Yuta forces him out of the ring to a chorus of boos. PAC rolls up Harwood for a nearfall, transitioning to a Brutalizer as the Riders hold off Wheeler and COPE. Dax is fading fast as Cash finally manages to pull Yuta onto PAC and Dax to break the hold.

COPE and Claudio take their fight out of the ring as Yuta gets the tag for a Busaiku knee…but he gets cut off by a Shatter Machine by FTR, followed by a spear from COPE! Cover by Dax…and Claudio breaks the pin!

COPE goes after him, bringing him to the outside to send him into the barricade. He gets back in the ring looking for a spear, but Yuta dodges and COPE stops himself from hitting Harwood with it instead! This gives Yuta an opening as he sends COPE into Dax before hitting the Busaiku knee on Harwood for the pin and the win!

Winners via pinfall and still AEW World Trios Champions: Death Riders

The champs celebrate as they leave through the crowd, and we are left with Rated FTR to regroup inside the ring. COPE gets to his feet, offering a hand to Harwood that is followed by Cash offering the same as they help Dax to his feet. The three men stand tall for a moment, before Dax catches COPE with a piledriver onto the mat! Cash is shocked by this as Dax leaves the ring, grabbing a pair of chairs from ringside. He sets COPE’s head up on one chair, handing the other to Wheeler…who throws it aside and shoves Harwood!

Cash brings COPE to his feet…before pulling him in for a Shatter Machine with Harwood! This leads to Dax setting COPE up for a spike piledriver with the assist by Wheeler, who is handed a chair afterward to connect with a Con-Chair-To on the Rated R Superstar! The crowd is livid as they boo FTR, who have not had enough even as Doc Sampson rushes in to stop the chaos. Cash hits another Con-Chair-To on COPE, even mocking him as Cash puts on the neck brace and feigns being put on the stretcher. He and Dax finally leave up the ramp as the crowd continues booing, while medical staff tend to the Rated R Superstar.

Video Package: Toni Storm moves on from her feud with Mariah May, only to find herself up against a quickly rising star in Megan Bayne with the AEW Women’s World Championship on the line tonight at AEW Dynasty!

Out first is Megan Bayne as we head back to ringside, Penelope Ford accompanying the Megasus on her way to the ring. A “feature presentation” video shows the training of Toni Storm ahead of this match, as the AEW Women’s World Champion makes her way out with a Rocky-style robe to a big pop from the Philly crowd, the champ entering the ring to get this big fight feel of a match underway!

AEW Women’s World Championship Match: “Timeless” Toni Storm defends against Megan Bayne

Chants for the champ as the two women lock up, only for Storm to be shoved away by the challenger Bayne. Toni starts to get an upper hand as she hits the ropes, but Megan catches her off a cross body attempt. Storm breaks free and heads to the corner, finally connecting with a cross body but gets back to her feet just as quickly. Storm lands some kicks before Megasus fights back, laying in some hard offense on the champ in the process. She brings Toni up and to the corner, catching her for a fall away slam.

Toni heads to the ropes before Megan sends her to the outside with a big boot, allowing the champ to get a breather before Megan takes a big dive…but Storm is able to bounce back, bringing the challenger up the turnbuckle and dropping her for a nearfall. Ford tries to get involved as the ref is distracted, and this allows Megan a chance to connect with a boot sending the champ back to the mat.

She brings Storm to the corner for shoulder charges before the ref intervenes, and sends Toni to the opposite corner to stay on the attack. Bayne drives her boot into the head of Storm against the ropes, distracting the ref as Ford lays in some offense of her own for good measure. Megan lifts the champ up for a set of lariats to keep Toni off her game. She brings Storm to the ropes for more damage, once again giving Penelope an opening for some more licks while distracting the ref.

She brings Toni up for a belly to belly suplex, followed by a second one…and a third one for good measure, covering the champ for a two count. Toni gets to the ropes but is soon attacked once more by the challenger, with the ref distracted again as Ford goes on the attack…only to be pulled away by Luther, who keeps Ford on his shoulders as he escapes up the ramp! This distracts Megan as Toni tries to get back in the fight, hitting a Lou Thesz press for some mounted punches on the challenger.

Storm hits a couple DDTs before locking in a modified STF on Megasus, who is trapped in the middle of the ring as she looks to break free. She eventually manages to power herself to the ropes, forcing a break. The two go at it on the apron until Bayne drops the champ hard to the mat, going up the turnbuckle before Toni tries to fight back. This ends up with both women on the turnbuckle…and Storm lands an avalance German suplex that looks scary enough for the ref to check on both women before starting the standing ten count.

Both women eventually make it to their feet, trading strikes until the champ catches Megan with a German suplex sending her to the corner. Hip attack by Storm is blocked, leading to Bayne hitting a German suplex of her own on the champ! Megasus follows with a Falcon Arrow on Storm, but it’s only good for a two count. Storm fights out of a Fate’s Descent to hit a German suplex on the challenger, followed by a hip attack…but Megan is back up!

Not for long however, as Storm hits her with a headbutt to force her back on the mat for a second hip attack…and then a third for good measure! Storm Zero connects as the champ covers…but Megasus kicks out at ONE!

Storm can’t believe it as she gets to her feet, but Bayne fights out of a Storm Zero for a lariat not once but twice. Powerbomb by the challenger connects! Bayne hoists the champ up for a Fate’s Descent…but Storm breaks free, cradling Bayne for the win to retain!

Back at ringside, Kyle Fletcher heads out for our next match followed by Mark Briscoe…only for the two men to go at it! The chaos finally makes its way into the ring allowing the ref to call for the bell as the match gets underway!

Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament First Round Match: Kyle Fletcher vs. Mark Briscoe

It doesn’t take long for Briscoe to fight back the initial offense by Fletcher, sending the Protostar back out of the ring before landing some hard hits off the barricade. He brings back the spirit of a certain Extreme promotion that used to be in Philly as he starts bringing chairs into the ring, but the ref being distracted trying to get rid of the chairs leads to Fletcher sending Briscoe onto one instead while we get a look of Konosuke Takeshita watching on from backstage.

He sends Mark to the corner, mocking the crowd’s “Dem Boys” chants as he lays into Briscoe in the corner. Philly crowd lets Don Callis know what they think of the former Cyrus the Virus, whose headset starts to cut out as Fletcher continues to land some hard kicks on Briscoe back in the ring. He sends the former ROH World Champion to the outside with a big boot, following close behind to land a powerbomb driving Briscoe onto the hardest part of the ring as the crowd shows their disdain. The ref tells Fletcher to bring Briscoe back in the ring…and instead, Fletcher lands a powerbomb that sends Mark onto the barricade!

Kyle enters the ring as Briscoe uses the barricade to help himself up during the ref’s count…making it back in just in the nick of time! Fletcher charges at him for a running boot in the corner, before setting him up on the turnbuckle. Briscoe fights back, sending Fletcher down before hitting a shotgun dropkick off the top rope. Brody King watches on from backstage as Fletcher fights back with some kicks in the corner before he and Briscoe hit the ropes…colliding with each other and both falling to the mat on a double down!

The ref begins the standing ten count as they struggle to their feet, fighting it out on the way up. They go back and forth, until Briscoe forces Fletcher to the corner. Kyle comes back to the center but gets taken down with a fisherman suplex by Briscoe. Fletcher breaks free from the shoulders of Briscoe after, setting him up for a snake eyes that sends Mark hard into the middle turnbuckle! Kyle tries to go for a draping DDT off the second rope but to no avail, the two fighting it out on the apron until Fletcher hits a brainbuster on the hardest part of the ring…with Briscoe’s leg catching the top rope!

Fletcher brings him in for a Protobuster and a cover…but Briscoe kicks out! Callis is beside himself as Fletcher brings Mark to the corner for a top rope brainbuster…but Briscoe fights out of Kyle’s grip, and the two fight it out on the turnbuckle. BT Bomb by Briscoe sends Fletcher crashing to the mat, but it’s only good for a two as Mark follows with a sliding lariat. He climbs up, connecting with the Froggy Bow and the cover…but Fletcher kicks out!

Fletcher escapes a Jay Driller for a cradle and the nearfall. Roll up by Briscoe for a nearfall of his own, blocking the brainbuster to hit a Burning Hammer style move sending Kyle down hard to the canvas. Fletcher rolls to the apron as Briscoe climbs the turnbuckle…and connects with a Froggy Bow on Fletcher on the outside! He brings Kyle back in the ring, pointing as he sets up for one more Froggy Bow…but to no avail!

Fletcher fights back, setting Briscoe up for the turnbuckle brainbuster that gives the Protostar the win to advance in the Owen Hart Cup!

Video Package: Things have gotten deeply personal between Chris Jericho and Bandido, leading to tonight’s Title vs. Mask match with the ROH World Championship and Bandido’s pride both on the line at Dynasty!

We head back to ringside for our next match, as Bandido makes his way out to a nice pop from the crowd. The former ROH World Champion shows some love to his family at ringside before entering the ring, as Chris Jericho comes out to some heat from the crowd. The reigning champ enters the ring, staring down Bandido as this match gets underway!

ROH World Championship Title vs. Mask: Chris Jericho vs. Bandido

Jericho rushes at the challenger, nailing Bandido in the face with a Codebreaker and the cover…but Bandido kicks out! Crowd mostly chanting for the challenger as he fights back, evading a kick for a headstand before forcing the champ out of the ring for a dive. Bandido gets back in the ring, hitting the ropes for speed before landing another dive through the ropes!

He sends Jericho to the barricade near his family, telling his mother to relax before embracing her and bringing the champ back in the ring. Torneo connects as Bandido makes the cover, but it’s only good for a two count. Both men are on their feet, until Bandido brings Jericho up for a delayed vertical suplex that lasts an awfully long time…to the point where I’ve lost track when he finally brings the Nueve back to the mat! Cover by Bandido, but the champ manages to kick out as the crowd chants for the challenger.

Jericho gets to his feet as Bandido heads to the turnbuckle, but the effect of the delayed vertical suplex force him to drop back to the mat as Bandido intercepts him on the apron…before Jericho brings him off the apron and to the floor! Bandido is down as Jericho gets to his feet, mocking Bandido’s family at ringside before getting back in the ring as the ref’s count continues. The count reaches eleven, reminding the audience that ROH rules dictate a twenty count as Bandido finally gets back in the ring at fifteen.

Jericho takes advantage of the prone state of the challenger, keeping him down for a nearfall before landing a boot after to keep him grounded. Bandido gets to his feet, fending off the champ long enough to take him down with a DDT. The crowd cheer as he follows up with a flurry of offense sending Jericho to the canvas, but the Learning Tree catches him with a dropkick forcing the challenger down. Jericho starts yapping at Bandido’s family and this leads to the luchador dropping him to the canvas for a two count.

Jericho fights back sending Bandido to the corner for some mounted punches, until Bandido fights back for a powerbomb…only to be countered into a hurricanrana by Jericho! The challenger is back on his feet, however, taking Jericho down for a frog splash that gets a close nearfall before the champ kicks out. Bandido heads to the corner for another Torneo…and gets caught with a modified Codebreaker by Jericho, who gets a two count!

Both men make it back to their feet for a gentlemen’s agreement to take ten paces…only for Jericho to blindside the challenger, using his feet for leverage on the cover–but Bandido manages to kick out once again!

But the challenger fights back, hitting a knee on Jericho before looking to the ropes…but Jericho counters, sending Bandido to the mat before locking in the Walls of Jericho! Bandido is trapped as he tries to get to the ropes. He crawls over, making it to the ropes as the ref intervenes to break the count. Jericho goes off on the ref, only for Bandido to lay him out with a thrust kick sending the champ to the mat. Bryan Keith comes hobbling down the ramp to intervene, but Gravity runs down to even the odds as officials deal with the situation…and this gives Jericho an opening as he pulls a baseball bat out, landing a hard shot on Bandido before tossing the bat aside! He brings Bandido to the middle of the ring for the cover…and gets the pin to retain the title and win Bandido’s mask!

Winner via pinfall and still ROH World Champion: Chris Jericho

AEW TNT Championship No Time Limit, No Outside Interference Match: Daniel Garcia defends against Adam Cole

The two get into it quick, with Cole being sent to the corner before fighting back for a dropkick off the ropes. The champ manages to get back into it, however, as he sends Cole to the corner for some mounted punches before Cole forces him to the outside. Cole heads to the apron for a Panama Sunrise but Garcia evades, taking advantage of the awkward landing by the challenger as he lands some stomps before bringing Cole back in the ring for a basement dropkick. He continues to target the leg as Cole gets back up, only to be sent to the corner by the champion. Garcia drives his boot into the leg now, weakening Cole even further before locking in the legs and driving Cole’s knees to the mat.

Garcia keeps on top of things, only for Cole to fight back to his feet…but Garcia catches him for a neckbreaker! He’s not done, though, as he lands a second…but the third is blocked by Cole, forcing Garcia to try another plan of attack. Cole responds with a backbreaker against the knee, causing some pain for the challenger as Garcia gets back to his feet. Garcia reverses a Panama Sunrise for a clutch that gets a two count, followed by a lariat for good measure as he sets up for a piledriver. Cole starts fighting out of it, only for the champ to clutch for a spinning Gotch style piledriver for a close nearfall.

Garcia gets to his feet, lowering a kneepad to tease a Boom until Cole fights to his feet. They trade strikes until Garcia catches the challenger with a back suplex. This leads to the two men trading kicks now, until Garcia takes Cole down for a nearfall…only for Cole to counter with a crucifix pin for a nearfall on the champ!

Garcia grabs the foot of Cole for an ankle lock as Cole tries to get to the ropes, only for the champ to grapevine the leg…but Adam manages to get a hand on the bottom rope to force the break. Cole escapes the ring for a breather, but Garcia follows close behind to send him into the ring steps! Garcia mocks him from the steps as he looks for a piledriver…but Cole fights back with some body shots, before dropping Garcia against the steps and his knee!

The ref checks on Garcia as Cole sets up for a Panama Sunrise off the steps, driving the champ’s head onto the floor before bringing him back in the ring. The kneepad goes down for the Boom but Garcia drops to the mat. Cole walks over and gets caught in a cradle by the champ for a nearfall, before Garcia sneaks to the corner for a Panama Sunrise…followed by the Boom on the challenger! Cover by Daniel, but it’s only good for a two count!

Garcia is frustrated as he slams the ankle of Cole against the mat before setting up for another piledriver…only for the challenger to break free. Garcia looks at the turnbuckle before bringing Cole to the corner. He’s looking for a piledriver like he hit on MJF, but Cole manages to stop him before landing some headbutts to send the champ to the mat.

Cole connects with a Panama Sunrise, and heads to the opposite corner for another to keep Garcia down. Cole gets back up and connects with the Boom for the cover to win the match and the TNT Championship!

Winner via pinfall and new TNT Champion: Adam Cole (bay bay)

Ricochet fights back, catching both Omega and Bailey and forcing them to the outside. He takes Bailey to the floor on one side, before diving onto Omega to send him into the announce desk. Ricochet starts taunting both men using one of the headsets at the announce desk, and this leads to disaster as Speedball runs at him with a kick! He puts the headset on to apologize to Schiavone before bringing Ricochet back into the ring.

Speedball goes after Kenny now, but the champ escapes to hit a snap dragon suplex. He turns his attention to Ricochet, landing a snap dragon suplex on him as well.

Bailey gets to the ropes and gets caught with another snap dragon by the champ, heeding the crowd’s call for “one more time” only for Bailey to block it. Video Package: Jon Moxley’s tight grip on the AEW World Championship and the rise of Swerve Strickland to try and regain the title tonight at AEW Dynasty!

Back at ringside, there’s been enough talk…it’s time for our main event! First up, we get an entrance with Static Shock vibes as Swerve Strickland makes his way out to a big pop from the Philly crowd. Out next is the World Champion himself, as Jon Moxley is accompanied by Marina Shafir through the crowd as they give a mixed reaction to the man seemingly holding the title hostage in the briefcase. Mox enters the ring as we get introductions for both men, the champ getting noticeably more boos here as this match gets underway!

AEW World Championship Match: Jon Moxley defends against Swerve Strickland

The two stand off as the crowd shows their support for Strickland. They then circle the mat as Mox keeps Swerve away, before Strickland takes him down with a single leg. Mox responds by countering, circling around to trap the arm of the challenger…but Strickland escapes, eventually catching the champ with an armbar of his own. Mox tries to fight out but is caught with a crucifix as Strickland gets a nearfall…and Swerve then seemingly taunts the champ with a judo stance on the mat.

Mox goes after him, but Swerve gets to his feet and to the corner to force a break…only to start slugging away at the champ, before landing an uppercut off the turnbuckle! Crowd chants for Swerve as the two men lock up, each looking for the upper hand when Mox gets Strickland to one knee. He breaks the hold to lay in a chop on Swerve against the ropes, but Strickland responds by taking Mox to the outside through the ropes and lands a punt off the apron forcing the champ to the floor.

Strickland goes after him on the outside, sending Mox into the barricade before bringing him back into the ring…but Mox intercepts the challenger, sending him to the floor as Marina stares him down and steps on him with the ref distracted. Mox leaves the ring, driving Swerve’s face onto the steps before throwing the challenger into them and entering the ring while the ref continues the count. He distracts the ref while Shafir gets some shots in, and the champ leaves to bring Swerve back in for some more damage.

The action spills back outside as Mox goes to work on the challenger at the announce table, laying in some hard offense to keep Strickland at bay as we see Swerve is now busted open. This doesn’t faze Mox as the ref’s count continues, only for the champ to slide into the ring to break the count by mouthing off with the ref before leaving again. He’s got Swerve set up on the steps, driving him down with a Paradigm Shift as the ref starts a new count.

Swerve is struggling to get back in the ring, narrowly hopping in at nine as Mox catches him for a stalling piledriver. Cover by Mox, but the challenger kicks out! Mox looks to make him bleed even more, even biting the forehead of Strickland before tying up the legs of the challenger while putting on a headscissors. Mox transitions out before bringing Strickland to his knees for a couple forearm shots to the head. Swerve is still in it, even as Mox drops him to the mat once more. He starts taunting Strickland before biting him again…and this leads to Swerve fighting back with a big right hand!

He lays in some more chops as Mox says he’s gotta hit harder than that…and Swerve obliges with a big right hand that brings a smile to the champ’s face. This leads to both men trading forearm strikes, followed by palm strikes and boots from Strickland who hits the ropes…and runs into a forearm by Mox! Drop toe hold by the champ for a kimura lock, keeping Strickland on the mat in the process. He heads to the corner, waiting for Mox to get up as he wants to inflict even more pain…but the champ responds with a lariat instead–only for Strickland to connect with a House Call out of nowhere!

Both men are down as Shafir slides into the ring with the briefcase, the ref trying to intervene until Nana runs in for the save…only to be laid out with the briefcase by Marina! Swerve grabs her by the wrist as Mox looks for a cutter…but Swerve breaks away, forcing Shafir to take the cutter instead! Swerve hits a Paradigm Shift on the champ for the cover…but Mox kicks out!

Swerve looking to bring this match to an end, until Mox knocks him off to the outside! He goes under the ring looking for a weapon, pulling out a ladder that he sets up near the announce desk as Swerve slowly gets to his feet. The champ mocks the crowd asking whose house it is now before putting a front facelock on Strickland to pull him near the ladder, and the two men end up climbing the ladder as Mox continues to lay into the challenger. They’re at the top now as Mox looks for a vertical suplex…only for Swerve to rake the champ’s back, landing some right hands before biting his forehead.

This takes Mox down a couple rungs, and gives Strickland the leverage he needs to land a Swerve Stomp sending the champ through the announce table! We get a replay as both men are struggling to get up after the damage done to them. Mox and Strickland crawl away from the war zone they’ve created, eventually making their way back into the ring. They get to their knees, taunting each other before trading strikes to get back to their feet. This ends when Mox goes low, taking the challenger down with a kick to the ankle. Shafir grabs a chair, sliding it into the ring as Mox grabs it. He looks to throw it at Strickland…who ducks out of the way, causing the chair to crash into the ref instead!

With both men and the ref down, Hangman Adam Page comes down the ramp looking to hit…someone, but he’s not entirely sure as he looks between Strickland and Mox. This allows the Death Riders to intervene, but Page manages to run them off before landing a Dead Eye on the champ! Page is pulled out of the ring by the Death Riders, but The Opps come in to even the numbers and fight them up the ramp. The ref is still down and this allows Swerve to throw the chair at Mox before going up top, connecting with the Swerve Stomp! He’s hurt and the ref is still down, so the pin cannot be made…and suddenly, the lights go out! They come back on…and the Young Bucks are in the ring, landing a EVP Trigger on the challenger! They leave the ring as the ref finally comes to, coming back in the ring as Mox finally makes to cover to pick up the win and retain the World Title.

Winner via pinfall and still AEW World Champion: Jon Moxley
