Tonight’s AEW Collision to proceed despite winter storm conditions in and around Athens, GA

Tonight’s episode of AEW Collision live on TNT and Max could be very interesting to say the least. The show is scheduled to take place at the Akins Ford Arena in Athens, Georgia which is just over an hour from Atlanta.

WSB-TV in Atlanta reported that due to a snow snowstorm on Friday, over 1,100 flights were canceled and 529 flights were delayed at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Although the winter storm warning has expired across north Georgia as of 7:30 am local time on Saturday, per WSB-TV meteorologists, icy conditions will continue into the night.

AEW’s Tony Khan took to social media on Friday noting tonight’s show would proceed. Khan then provided a travel update on Saturday, confirming that many of the talent are driving to the venue, with AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May riding in a limo.

At the time of this writing, there are still limited tickets available for tonight’s show.

Wrestleview will have live coverage of tonight’s AEW Collision, beginning at 6:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT.

As of this report, only three matches have been announced for tonight’s show:

-AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May vs. Harley Cameron (Non-Title)

-Dax Harwood vs. ROH World Champion Chris Jericho (Non-Title)

-Rated R Superstar Cope vs. Big Bill
