Artem Chigvintesev, the husband of WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella (Garcia), is in jail in Napa, California following his arrest for domestic battery.
A representative for the Napa County Sheriff’s Office has told TMZ that local deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a location in the town of Yountville shortly before 10:00 am local time on Thursday. It was also stated that injuries were reportedly involved.
The representative further noted the victim in the case asked for total confidentiality and that an investigation remains ongoing.
According to online jail records, per TMZ, Chigvintesev was booked into Napa County Jail on Thursday morning on a felony domestic violence charge.
At the time of TMZ’s report, it is not unclear what led up to Chigvintesev’s arrest, or any of the circumstances. Nikki Garcia posted on her Instagram Story on Wednesday that she was in Napa. However, her involvement is not known. The couple, have a home together in Napa Valley.
Chigvintesev and Nikki, who met on Dancing with the Stars after being paired up together, celebrated their wedding anniversary earlier this week. In addition, the couple also has one child together.
TMZ reached out to the spokespersons for Artem and Nikki and not yet to receive any comments.
