Hall of Famer says he is “on the verge” of signing a legends deal with WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura told Chris Van Vliet that he is “on the verge” signing a legends deal with WWE. He also said that the written contract has been agreed upon by both sides, but that he and the company just need to sign it.

When asked if there is a set time that he hopes the contract will get signed , Ventura said – “fairly quickly…because time is money.” In addition, Ventura said WWE is better to deal with under Endeavor.

The 73-year old Ventura further told Van Vliet that he almost resigned from the WWE Hall of Fame two or three times because of Donald Trump.

Both Ventura and WWE have been in discussions the past several months about a legends contract. He attended the July 29 WWE Raw when the show was at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Ventura was inducted into the 2004 WWE Hall of Fame class. He was the governor of the state of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003.
