Fightful Select has reported that Randy Orton has signed a new contract with WWE, set to expire in 2029.
The former WWE Champion’s current deal, signed in 2019, was set to expire this year, but an end date was not clear due to Orton being sidelined due to injury.
A source noted that the “guaranteed money associated with contracts now is a drastic shift from what it was in 2019,” with Fightful Select stating that the belief within WWE is that a new contract would be “much more fair” than extending the previous one due to injury time.
Orton is set to face Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at Bash in Berlin, emanating from the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany on Saturday, August 31.
