According to a new report from Variety, WrestleMania 40 is the most-streamed entertainment event ever on Peacock.
Per NBCUniversal, the big-two night event at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA was viewed for 1.3 billion minutes this past weekend. Based on the average minute audience, night one was up 26% over night one from last year, while night two was up 30% over last year.
Variety also notes that the viewing of WrestleMania 40 is also the second biggest usage weekend for Peacock of all-time, ranking only behind the NFL Wild Card game and on the following days of January 13 and 14.
In addition, the new Peacock special “Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal” was the most-viewed original sports WWE documentary for its first seven days on Peacock. Wyatt passed away at the age of 36 back on August 24, 2023.
