As previously reported, Kevin Dunn is leaving WWE as the top Executive Producer after nearly 40-years with the company.
Per a new report from F4WOnline, the publication reiterates the decision regarding Dunn’s departure from WWE was inevitable, as he would be gone after Vince McMahon lost power in WWE, following the acquisition by Endeavor. It was further noted that with the merger, it was expected that Dunn was either going to retire or be replaced.
The report also notes that several within WWE have said that Mike Mansury is someone that Paul Levesque would want as Dunn’s replacement. However, it is believed Mansury is under a long-term contract with AEW. Another name that has been mentioned is Marty Miller.
Furthermore it was said that there was an attempt by WWE to make Chris Kaiser the new Executive Producer who would handle budgets and Dunn would have been handled the shows and making the final decisions pertaining to production. It was said that with Dunn leaving, Endeavor could bring in Miller to oversee production, while Kaiser would be given the job of being in charge of the budget. It should noted that per F4WOnline, all this is said to be speculation as of now.
The report concluded by saying that while there were some in WWE knew Dunn was planning on leaving, there were still many that reportedly ended up surprised.
