WWE reportedly extends contracts of top stars due to injuries

According to Fightful Select, Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E are all expected to be signed to WWE contracts through 2024, due to time being added to each of their contracts due to injury.

Orton, Kingston, Woods and Big E all signed five-years deals back in 2019.

Orton was out for 18 months due to a back injury, which required surgery. Woods was on the injured list off and on in 2023, as he had various injuries. Kofi Kingston was out earlier this year due to an ankle injury that required surgery to fix a broken bone and ligament. Big E has been out of action since he took a botched belly-to-belly suplex on the floor by Ridge Holland during the March 11, 2022 episode of SmackDown. Big E landed on his head, fracturing his C1 and C6 vertebrae.

TKO has already re-signed Charlotte Flair, who is now one of the highest paid women in WWE history. In addition, the company has also signed Dominik Mysterio, Rey Mysterio, Bayley and Cody Rhodes all to new deals.
