It is Wednesday, my dudes…you know what that means.
Pyro kicks off before The Hardys’ music hits, arriving the arrival of the brothers to the ring for our opening contest. Out next are The Gunns, and this match is underway!
The Hardys vs. The Gunns
Austin and Matt start things off, with Matt having the advantage early on in the exchange of holds before tagging in Jeff. The Hardys drop Austin Gunn twice over as Colten tries to get involved, only for some Poetry in Motion to take him out of the ring. Austin starts to get an upper hand on Jeff after this, but Jeff takes him down with a Whisper in the Wind for a nearfall. The ref gets distracted by Austin as Jeff hits the ropes, allowing for a blindside by Colten before he gets the tag, beating up Jeff in the corner before getting a nearfall!
Tag to Austin now, as he goes after Jeff…only for Jeff to send him out of the ring. Colten doesn’t let this go on for long as he brings Austin back into the ring for a tag, going after Jeff himself before making another tag to Austin…but Jeff gets the hot tag to Matt! Matt goes off on the Gunns here, taking Colten out of the ring before hitting a Twist of Fate on Austin for the pin…but Colten saves the match by putting Austin’s foot on the bottom rope.
Matt goes after Colten for this before being rolled up by Austin, but not even using the ropes for leverage gets him more than a nearfall! The Gunns take Matt down for a nearfall but it’s Jeff breaking things up this time. Tag to Jeff now as he hits a double DDT on the Gunns, followed by a legdrop to both men’s groins for good measure! Colten goes after Jeff as he gets back to his feet, but is taken down with a Twist of Fate by Jeff who climbs up for the Swanton Bomb…only for Bullet Club Gold to get involved, with Jay White shoving Jeff off the turnbuckle! All it takes is a 3:10 to Yuma on Jeff for the Gunns to get the pin and the win!

BC Gold and The Gunns go on the attack after the match, before Ricky Starks comes out for the save only to take a beatdown of his own before FTR rush down to even the odds. Things look tough for the AEW World Tag Team Champions until CM Punk follows suit, running down the ramp to finally clear things out! With BC Gold and The Gunns regroup on the ramp, Punk lays down the challenge for Collision for an eight-man tag match between Punk, Starks, and The Hardys to take on Bullet Club Gold and The Gunns!

Jeff Jarrett vs. Mark Briscoe
We cut backstage where the fight goes on immediately, and Briscoe and Jarrett go at it from the jump, with the food in the area quickly coming into play as neither man quite has an advantage…until Karen Jarrett gets involved, squirting ketchup in the eyes of Briscoe! Mark is finally able to get back into the swing of things as he takes Jarrett down onto a table, before grabbing a nearby ladder to take a climb…only for a disguised Sonjay Dutt to send him right through the table instead, before we go to picture-in-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: The fight spills over from the concessions area to the upper stands of the crowd, making its way down as Briscoe starts to get the advantage over Jarrett once more. Dutt tries to get involved some more but is taken down instead. Someone else pops in with a disguise, and it’s Jay Lethal taking down Briscoe as the numbers are way out of his favor as we come back!
The three men bring Briscoe into the ring, a 3-on-1 affair that helps Jarrett tremendously before Lethal heads to ringside for a table. He struggles to get a man out of the way, and that man turns out to be Papa Briscoe…who sends Lethal through the table with a chokeslam! Papa heads into the ring to deal with Dutt and Lethal before checking on Mark, only to get low-blowed by Karen! The ring gets cleared out as Mark is back on his feet, but a Jay Driller attempt gets cut off as Sutnam Singh takes him out with a chokeslam.
Suddenly, Chris Daniels and Best Friends come out to take out Singh, followed by the Lucha Bros! Back in the ring, Penta takes down Jarrett before Briscoe rolls him up for the pin and the win!

We cut backstage, where BCC and Takeshita address what’s been going down the past few weeks before issuing a challenge to The Elite at Forbidden Door for a five-on-five tag match. Bryan Danielson calls out Okada, saying if he doesn’t show up by the end of the night he will prove how much of a coward he is.

Back at ringside, Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara make their way to the ring for our next match. Out next is Minoru Suzuki, a curious pairing with Jericho and Guevara for the evening before their opponents head to the ring next, and this match gets underway!
Trios Match
Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara and Minoru Suzuki vs. Action Andretti, Darius Martin and AR Fox
We start off with Andretti and Guevara as they lock up, with Guevara getting an advantage with a shoulder tackle before getting the nearfall. Both men unable to get a pump kick on each other leads to a staredown, before Guevara tags in Suzuki while giving a smirk at Jericho! Tag made to Martin now, who lays in some hops on a noticeably laughing Suzuki before he gives Darius a quick lesson on what “strong style” means to take him down. Tag made to Jericho, and they take Darius down…before the pair do a pose as if mocking Sammy Guevara, much to his amusement.
Fox gets a tag and unleashes a flurry of offense on Jericho, but a missile dropkicks gets evaded before Jericho gets the upperhand as we go to picture-in-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: Jericho continues the attack before tagging in Guevara, who stays on top of Fox before hitting a delayed vertical suplex and gets a nearfall! Guevara makes the tag to Jericho now, and Jericho keeps on with the offense before Fox fights back with some chops…only to be taken down by Jericho, who makes a tag to Suzuki to keep the hurt going. Suzuki with some big strikes followed by a tag to Guevara, who keeps things rolling as we come back!
Fox is able to counter with a shoulder tackle before looking for the tag…but Jericho clears Darius off the apron, only for Fox to dodge a clothesline before making the tag to Andretti! Jericho lays into him with strikes but is taken down by Andretti, who takes a break with a dive before going back on him with a shotgun dropkick! Suzuki rushes in looking for a rear naked choke on Andretti, but is stopped with a shot to the back by Darius…which only makes Suzuki smile as he lays out Martin!
Suzuki goes for a Gotch style piledriver on Andretti, who is able to get out of danger as things turn to chaos for a bit…but finally, Jericho makes it into the ring, only to be taken down by Andretti for a nearfall! Things fall apart again after this, leading to a Gotch style piledriver by Suzuki only for Darius to get back in after a tag!
Darius takes Jericho down but only gets a nearfall, only to follow up with some more offense…until Jericho catches him into a Liontamer! With Andretti locked in an ankle lock by Suzuki on the outside, Martin has no choice but to tap out!

Renee is in the ring now to talk to Jericho about the staredown between him and Sting last week. Jericho talks about that being a big moment for everyone else, but not for him. Jericho says Sting only shows up wherever the higher bidder is, before saying Sting isn’t a harlequin…he’s just a whore.
He follows up with a challenge for a six-man tag match between The Suzuki Gods and Sting, Darby Allin, and whoever they can find to team with him. He starts to run Sting down some more until the Icon arrives with Darby Allin, heading down the ramp to the ring. Sting pokes fun at Jericho about being uptight before accepting the challenge for Sunday at Forbidden Door. Darby says Jericho needs to remember he’s made a lot of enemies in a lot of places…and they’ve got the partner in mind. Jericho demands to know who their partner is, but Darby says he’ll find out on Collision.
Backstage, Tony Schiavone and RJ City are standing by to make the random pairings for the Blind Eliminator Tournament in the coming weeks before running down what’s to come tonight. Tony asks RJ if he’s going to keep drawing names and RJ obliges as we go to commercial break.
-Commercial Break-
Back from break, The Elite addresses the BCC challenge from earlier tonight, talking about the numbers advantage BCC have…but that The Elite have friends everywhere. In walks Eddie Kingston, who assures The Elite he is NOT their friend, before saying as much as he doesn’t like The Elite, he hates Claudio more so he will team with them…but he’s picking who the fifth man is. He may not trust him, but he trusts this man more than The Elite. Eddie says he’ll make that announcement before walking off.
Back at ringside, Adam Cole heads to the ring to speak, no doubt looking to address the way things went down last week. Cole asks who’s ready for story time with Adam Cole (bay bay), before “giving the devil his due” by saying MJF gave him one of the toughest matches of his career last week. Adam did everything in his power, but he didn’t win…however, MJF didn’t win either. Cole understands MJF wouldn’t accept five more minutes, but says that if MJF wants to prove he’s the best he has take on all comers…and he did not beat Adam Cole, bay bay. Cole calls out MJF to come down here to address a rematch, and MJF’s music hits as the AEW World Champion makes his way out.
MJF demands his music be cut as he hits the ring, staring down Cole with a smirk on his face before running down the Chicago crowd, who let the champ know how they feel with a hearty chant. MJF congratulates Cole on proving himself last week, noting that he was the one who “dragged that out of you” before saying Cole lost track of time…and had he still had time, the champ still had Cole beat.
As far as a rematch goes, MJF says because he cares about Cole and his well-being he is gonna have to say no. Cole says he figured MJF would say no, but how about we have a fight right here and now? Schiavone stands up at commentary to give an announcement, briefly cut off by a “SHUT UP, SCHIAVONE” before announcing the first two names for the Blind Eliminator Tournament…Adam Cole and MJF!
Cole can’t believe he’s teaming with MJF, and MJF can’t believe he’d be set to wrestle every week. They start arguing with each other before a video plays on the screen with Tanahashi daring MJF to show up at Forbidden Door, so the Ace can show him the strength of New Japan! MJF starts to address that video before being called out by Cole, needling MJF by calling him a coward until MJF accepts the challenge from the Ace of New Japan!
Cole wishes MJF good luck before leaving the ring, and we see a very perplexed MJF trying to make sense of what just happened as we go to a graphic for the Owen Hart Foundation men’s and women’s tournaments!
We come back to ringside after all this, as Orange Cassidy and Katsuyori Shibata make their way to the ring for our next match. Out next are Daniel Garcia and Zack Sabre Jr. before this match gets underway!
AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy & ROH Pure Champion Katsuyori Shibata vs. NJPW World Television Champion Zack Sabre Jr. and Daniel Garcia
We start off with Shibata and Sabre as they exchange holds, with Sabre having an upper hand before locking in a triangle choke that Shibata escapes from. Things get chaotic as Garcia rushes into the ring, forcing the ref to lay down the law as we go to picture-in-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: After a tag to Cassidy we see the champ and Garcia stare down, before Garcia gets a side headlock on Orange…who escapes before surprising Garcia with a submission hold, but not enough for Garcia not to escape! Garcia taunts the crowd as Cassidy gets to his feet. Test of strength turns sour for Garcia as Cassidy goes for the rope walk hurricanrana, but that gets reversed by Garcia, who takes the champ to the corner with some more offense while taunting the crowd some more. Garcia kepes on the attack but is soon taken down by Cassidy, who gets an O’Connor roll on Garcia for a nearfall before the latter gets a tag to Sabre as we come back!
The two exchange holds once again, but this time Shibata seems to have an upper hand until Sabre gets a flying octopus hold that is countered out of by the ROH Pure Champion. Tag to Garcia, who talks down Shibata until he takes a set of forearm strikes to the face! Shibata gets fought off again, but he makes a tag to Cassidy who catches Garcia off guard with a rollup for a nearfall! Garcia with a waistlock but Cassidy gets hands in pockets to wriggle out of the hold, before getting back to his feet!
Tag made to Sabre now, with Cassidy’s unique kick being cut off by the NJPW World Television Champion who gets a flurry of hard offense in on Cassidy in the process. Tag to Garcia leads to more of a beatdown as Garcia goes to work on the legs before tagging Sabre right back in, and the pair pick the champ apart with holds! Sabre keeps on the attack until Cassidy rolls out of the ring…but Sabre comes after him as we go to picture-to-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: Sabre and Garcia keep the pressure all on Cassidy as they double-team him, before Sabre gets a tag to Garcia proper. Garcia stays on the attack, taunting the crowd whenever he can as he tags Sabre back in for some more focused offense. Sabre locks in a straightjacket hold, but before Cassidy can fight out of it he is brought back down into a surfboard-like maneuver as we come back!
Sabre still in control as he goes for a suplex, but Cassidy catches him with a Stundog Millionaire! Cassidy is able to get the tag to Shibata after this, and Shibata goes in hot on Sabre until Garcia intervenes. Garcia makes a tag now and hits a series of toe kicks on Shibata, who responds with some hard strikes of his own on Garcia. Garcia mocks Shibata with his own sitdown pose on the canvas, but is met with “dangerous kicks” from Shibata and Cassidy before Sabre tries to sneak in, only to be taken out of the equation by Shibata and Cassidy! Shibata turns his attention to Garcia with a hard strike in the corner, but only gets a nearfall before Garcia gets in a Dragontamer on Shibata!
Sabre stops Cassidy before laying in a stomp on Shibata just as the latter escapes the hold, but is metn with a DDT by Cassidy before Shibata catches Garcia with a pump kick and a sleeper hold! Sabre intervenes, only to get a running kick by Shibata…but a Running PK attempt gets thwarted by an inadvertent Orange Punch by Cassidy, who gets stopped by Sabre as Garcia rolls Shibata up for the pin and the win!
Winners via pinfall: NJPW World Television Champion Zack Sabre Jr. and Daniel Garcia
Sabre and Garcia have a laugh with each other as they hold the AEW International Championship, though it becomes clear what the actual issue is as Shibata grabs it from them while the announcement is made on commentary that there will be a four-way match for the title at Forbidden Door! Cassidy comes into the ring to get his title back, but finds himself staring down his tag partner tonight ahead of the upcoming title match.
Backstage, Alex Marvez manages to get a word with Will Ospreay ahead of his match at Forbidden Door. Ospreay talks about the security issue in Canada before he’s met by Don Callis, who offers to give Ospreay that security come Forbidden Door.

Back at ringside, Taya Valkyrie makes her way to the ring for our main event! Out next is the TBS Champion Kris Statlander, ready to defend her title as this match gets underway!
TBS Championship Open Challenge
Taya Valkyrie vs. TBS Champion Kris Statlander
The two circle around until Statlander avoids an attack from Taya, before taking her down with a shoulder tackle! Taya taken to the corner as Kris stays on the attack, sending her to another corner for a flurry of strikes and an uppercut before Taya cuts her off with some offense of her own! Taya with a chop that is met with one by Statlander, before the two exchange strikes…but Kris sweeps the leg and gets a nearfall in the process!
Taya responds with a hard knee strike, but is sent to the outside by the champ before Statlander hits a moonsault DDT on Taya to the floor outside! Kris sends Taya back in the ring, but is knocked off the apron by the challenger as we go to picture-in-picture!
Picture-in-Picture: Taya stays on the attack on the outside, really laying into the champ before bringing her back into the ring. She props Statlander on the ropes for more damage before Taya sends her back to another corner for a hard chop to the chest. This is followed with an elbow strike and a double knee strike in the corner, but the champ kicks out at one! This frustrates Taya as she drives a knee to the back of Statlander, who fights back to her feet before Taya drops her back down. Taya mocks the champ as she stays on the attack, but an exchange of strikes leads to the champ and challenger taking each other down with a kick as we come back!
Both women slowly make to their feet before the champ hits a couple hard punches on Taya, sending her to the corner for an uppercut and a running knee! Kris takes the challenger down hard to the canvas for a nearfall, but Taya fights out of a gutwrench to lock in a double underhook before dropping the champ for a nearfall of her own! Statlander starts to fight back, avoiding a curb stomp for a nearfall followed by a lariat…but that comes up short as well! Statlander gets cut off with a spear, but rolls to the corner where Taya hits a sliding German suplex through the ropes!
Taya climbs the turnbuckle but is cut off by the champ, who hits a superplex from the top followed by a Wednesday Night Fever for the pin and the win!

Statlander celebrates in the ring as we get a rundown of Rampage ahead of Forbidden Door!
-Commercial Break-
Back at ringside, Eddie Kingston is standing by with a microphone in hand. Eddie seems excited to be here, but claims The Elite left because Eddie said he doesn’t respect them. Eddie addresses the fact he and Jon Moxley have an issue because Eddie is teaming with the Bucks and Hangman, but Eddie even says he hates Claudio so…before he can get much further, Eddie is interrupted by the arrival of Moxley himself.
Mox says Eddie is drawing a line at Forbidden Door, but Eddie insists Mox drew the line the minute he started teaming up with that scumbag Claudio. The tension is thick as Eddie tells Mox to finish a sentence of “every time”…but when Mox cannot, Eddie announces the fifth man is Tomohiro Ishii! Ishii heads down the ramp, which turns to a run as BCC beats down on Kingston and Ishii. Bryan Danielson arrives, saying if Okada isn’t going to arrive he’s going to kick Ishii’s face in. The coins drop and Okada makes his way to the ring to stare down his opponent at Forbidden Door, given a glare back by Bryan before Yuta blindsides the Rainmaker! Yuta sets Okada up for a Busaiku Knee but Yuta takes it instead, only for Bryan to narrowly avoid a Rainmaker…so instead, Okada drops one on Yuta!
Okada stares down Bryan as the latter heads up the ramp, before Okada poses in the ring as the show comes to a close.
