Report: WWE looking to sell the company by mid-2023

According to a new report from F4WOnline, WWE is looking to sell the company by the middle of 2023.

The report notes that Dave Meltzer had a long conversation with people from WWE where they gave the timeline in which they hope to have the company sold with JPMorgan assisting them.

It was also said the media players that have been speculated about are in the mix, which includes Saudi Arabia.

As in regards to the recent rumor regarding WWE being sold to the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, the report states “there was smoke” to the story but any type of sale would have been way too early to be finalized. The only option at this point for taking the company private would be to sell to the Saudis.

It was further noted that WWE CEO Nick Khan was in Los Angeles this past Monday for the NCAA college football title game meeting with “heavy hitters” that included Disney CEO Bob Iger and ESPN head Jimmy Pitaro. Endeavor, owners of UFC, are “also in the hunt.”

The report concludes that Vince McMahon is the facilitator for working on getting WWE sold, while Nick Khan is running the company. However, this could always change due to the rapid change in the company right now.
