WWE reportedly offered Saraya an on-air role and chance to wrestle

According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE offered Saraya an on-air General Manager role by the company’s new creative team nearly a month after her contract had expired in July.

The report also notes the “higher-ups also mentioned to her that if she ever wanted to return to the ring and wrestle, they would make that happen.”

It is being said that Saraya had three health checks herself to get clearance to return while WWE did not have her checked at all. The “Vince McMahon regime” which presumably was also included John Laurinaitis had no interest in bringing her back and would not sign off on x-rays to even explore such a possibility.

The report also includes Saraya was informed about WWE not renewing her contract when the announcement was made publicly, and that she had a “surprisingly low” deal, and that her ability to commit to outside projects such as Twitch, was somewhat restricted.

Triple H was reportedly “shocked” that her contract was not renewed and his new regime made an effort to keep her in some form or fashion. Fightful concluded in their report by saying that The information they gained as to why Saraya chose to sign with AEW is that Tony Khan has given her the freedom to do outside projects without giving up a cut, and other undisclosed terms in her contract.

As of this writing, additional sources have not been able to confirm the report from Fightful Select and Saraya not commented on her social media accounts. Saraya got physical in the ring on the October 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, which would indicate she received some type of clearance from doctors.
