WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, during episode 76 of his podcast, said WWE has bought the rights to a new documentary that was being produced about his life. Angle also noted that he made a deal with WWE to have the documentary air next year on Peacock.
Angle said the following:
“The WWE bought the show from us, the documentary. They changed it up a little bit and made it a little more pro wrestling oriented. But we made a deal with them that this will air on Peacock next year. They actually added more WWE stuff to it. So the one next year on Peacock will be more about my personal life growing up and before the WWE, so it’s a really well rounded documentary.”
As part of WWE’s new Legends Series for A&E’s Biography, an episode featuring Kurt Angle will air on Sunday, July 31, beginning at 8:00 pm ET.
Back on May 24, Angle underwent double knee replacement surgery.
Also during the podcast, Angle discussed the storyline with Jason Jordan, in which Jordan was supposed to be the illegitimate son of Angle, and what the payoff was going to be. He noted that the storyline came about due to Vince McMahon “getting wind” that he (Angle) had previously dated a couple of African-American women. Angle also went to talk about Jordan’s career behind-the-scenes in WWE where he is currently working as a producer.
Jordan has not wrestled since undergoing surgery for a neck injury he suffered in back in 2018.
