TNA Sacrifice PPV

A video package runs to open the show focusing on various TNA stars and the “sacrifice” they make. The video then ends focusing on Sting vs. Rob Van Dam tonight for the TNA Championship.
A graphic opening hits welcoming us to Sacrifice. We go live to the Impact Wrestling Zone where a quick display of pyro goes off above the ring and in the entrance area.
Anyone hoping for any “changes” to the look of the show since the new “Impact Wrestling” campaign will be disappointed. Same setup as usual inside the Impact Zone.
Mexican America is out first to kick off the show.
Mexican America (Hernandez and Anarquia) w/ Sarita and Rosita vs. Ink Inc.
We start with Anarquia and Shannon Moore. Loud USA chants early on. Moore works over Anarquia’s left arm. Anarquia dropped Moore down by his mohawk. Moore with a springboard arm drag. Rosita distracted the referee allowing Hernandez to get in a cheap shot on Moore. Hernandez gets the tag. Moore with a dropkick and leg drop combo on Hernandez. Quick tag to Jesse Neal who is hip tossed on top of Hernandez. Neal with a belly-to-belly after Hernandez missed a charge in the corner. Anarquia with a cheap shot when Rosita distracts the referee a second time. Anarquia with the tag and he gets in a few chops on Neal. Tag to Moore with a crossbody. Anarquia attempts a baseball slide, but gets stuck in the apron. Moore with right hands and then kicks Hernandez in the face from the ring apron. Moore with a springboard moonsault on Hernandez to the outside. Referee distracted yet again and Sarita throws Moore down on his head. Hernandez with the tag and he puts Moore on his shoulder squeezing tight. Anarquia with the tag again, Moore tosses him away and hits a moonsault from the top rope. Neal with the hot tag dropping Anarquia and Hernandez with clotheslines. Hernandez splashes Anarquia by accident in the corner and Neal connects with a crossbody on Hernandez. Moore sends Anarquia over the top rope. In the ring, Hernandez hits an elbow to Neal, Neal counters a Border Toss, Moore is up top, but Rosita jumps in to distract him. Anarquia pulls Moore out of the ring and hits some right hands. In the ring, Hernandez has Neal and drops him down with a front face powerbomb. Hernandez gets the pinfall.
Winners: Mexican America
After the match, the Mexican flag drops down over the ring. Mexican America celebrates the win.
Mike Tenay and Taz discuss at the commentary table the return of Chyna to wrestling during Impact Wrestling this past week. They also discuss Sting defending the TNA Championship against Rob Van Dam tonight as well.
Jeff and Karen Jarrett are coming out. Jeff is helping Karen who is on crutches with her ankle in a boot. Jeff said he has a special announcement he needs to make. He said some times you have dangers as a mother at home. The crowd starts a loud “BULLSH*T” chant. Jeff said the PPV viewing audience doesn’t want to hear their filthy language. He said Karen “slipped and fell” on an action figure, was rushed to the hospital, she got an MRI along with x-rays and they were informed that Karen has a “grade three sprain and her ankle is broken in two places.” Jeff said they are just as disappointed as the fans are. He informs everyone we will not have a match tonight against Kurt Angle and Chyna as a result. Mick Foley’s music hits. Jeff claps for Foley as he gets inside the ring. He thanks Mick for coming out to re-book a better match. Foley said he has seen the x-ray and it is indeed not good. He said the funny thing about an x-ray is that it reveals the sex of an individual. Foley said Karen is no 6’6 African American male and something tells him she will be magically ready to go tonight. He said they are standing in a wrestling ring and wrestling matches take place inside here adding, “because wrestling matters.” Karen complains she has nothing to wear. Foley said he thought she might say that and he had someone named Joleen make her a special outfit for tonight. He said when Karen steps into the ring tonight with Chyna he has good news and bad news. The bad news – you are going to get your “butt kicked all over the Impact Wrestling Zone.” The good news – Karen will look so good while it is being done. Karen screams in disgust. Foley tells them to have a nice day.
Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Brian Kendrick. He said the X Division and X Division Championship was originally designed to be a platform for wrestling that no one else has ever seen. Kendrick said the “good ole boys” redesigned it as a filler match and he is here tonight to correct that language to put the X Division back on its proper path.
Robbie E w/ Cookie vs. Brian Kendrick
Kendrick dropped down and started meditating when the bell rang. Robbie mocked him and Kendrick dropped him with a dropkick. Kendrick with a crossbody from the top rope on Robbie. Kendrick starts meditating again in the corner and Robbie screams out, “What is wrong with this freak?!” Kendrick with a boot to the face and crossbody combo. Robbie tossed Cookie into Kendrick. Kendrick grabbed Cookie and said, “God has a plan for you.” Robbie then tosses Kendrick back in the ring and kicks him off to the floor landing on his shoulder with a thud. Robbie tosses Kendrick with force into the corner. Robbie drops an elbow on Kendrick off the second rope. Robbie then clotheslines Kendrick to the outside. Robbie with a suplex on Kendrick on the outside. Back in the ring, Kendrick connects with a missile dropkick. Kendrick’s lip is busted open. Kendrick catches Robbie with a big kick to the head as Robbie came off the ropes. Kendrick hooks the leg and gets the pinfall.
Winner: Brian Kendrick
After the match, Kendrick drops down and starts meditating. Kendrick extends his hand to Robbie. Robbie is freaked out and screams, “What is wrong with you bro?!” Robbie grabs Cookie and pulls her out of the ring. She calls Kendrick a freak.
Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Tara. Borash brings up that if Mickie James beats Madison Rayne tonight, she is no longer contractually bound to Rayne. Tara said she is torn. JB asks her who she wants to win tonight. Rayne cuts her off and said it is about her tonight. She tells Tara to stay backstage.

TNA Knockouts Championship
If Mickie James wins, Tara is free from her contract with Madison Rayne
Mickie James (c) vs. Madison Rayne
Soon after the bell rings, Tara’s music hits. Rayne jumps out and gets in her face. The referee starts the count. Rayne runs back to the ring and James catches her with a baseball slide. Rayne tosses James into the steel steps. Back in the ring, Tara circles the ring and Rayne yells at her. James attempts a springboard huricanrana, but Rayne prevents it and drops her back down in the ring on her head. James with elbows to Rayne along with a neckbreaker. Referee bump when James attempted a backslide pin. Rayne leaves the ring and pulls out her loaded glove from under the ring. Tara grabs her arm and rips off the glove. Rayne with a close rollup on James. James plants Rayne, goes up top, but she hits the Lou Thesz Press into the referee instead. James has Rayne set for a DDT when Tara jumps in with the loaded glove on. Rayne gets down on her knees begging her not to hit her. Tara then drops Rayne with a right hand using the loaded glove. James covers Rayne and gets the pinfall.
Winner and still TNA Knockouts Champion: Mickie James
After the match, Mickie James has a surprised look on her face as Tara heads up the ramp excited that she is now free from Madison Rayne’s contract.
Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with the members of Fortune. Kazarian says Max Buck isn’t a star. Robert Roode makes a Braden Walker joke about Chris Harris. James Storm tells the “kitty kat” that he should have stayed away.
TNA X Division Championship
Kazarian (c) vs. Max Buck
Lots of counter flips early on. More headlock counters on the mat as well. Kazarian with a drop toe hold and back to the headlock on the mat. Kazarian with a float over reverse DDT on Max. Max with a dropkick through the ropes on Kazarian. Kazarian flew back landing on the concrete floor right on his head. Back in the ring, Max with a jawbreaker. Max with knees to the back of Kazarian. Max catches Kazarian with a kick to the face when Kazarian hit a few right hands. Kazarian jumps right back up hitting a gutwrench from the top. Kazarian with a series of clotheslines on Max that finishes with a big spin kick. Kazarian with a scoop slam and springboard leg drop combo. Kazarian with a quick snap neckbreaker after Max countered his Fade to Black finisher. Max with another counter who powerbombs Kazarian to the corner. Max with a springboard stunner off the top rope. Max with a DDT on Kazarian from the corner. Max connects with a 450 Splash, hooks the leg and Kazarian barely kicks out. Kazarian drops Max off the ropes and then kicks him in the head. Kazarian then hits the ropes and hits a sunset flip powerbomb on Max with Max’s head literally bouncing off the concrete floor. It looked even worse on the replay. The crowd started chanting “THIS IS WRESTLING.” Kazarian catches Max with a Shining Wizard after rolling out of a rollup attempt and gets the pinfall.

After the match, we see a replay of highlights leading to the finish.
Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Abyss talking about his match with Crimson tonight. Abyss talks about how he will never stop and never quit. He mentions RVD taking his teeth away from him…and he kept on going.

Abyss vs. Crimson
Abyss with a quick knee and forearms to the back of Crimson. Crimson with a big jumping shoulder tackle that drops Abyss. Crimson clotheslines Abyss to the outside. Abyss with a big body shot to Crimson on the outside. Crimson sends Abyss head first into the steel guard railing. Crimson misses a charge on Abyss hitting the steel ring post. Back in the ring, Abyss works over the head of Crimson. Double clotheslines connect in the middle of the ring soon after. Crimson with a headlock and knees to the head. Abyss with a chokeslam. Crimson kicks out during a pinfall attempt. Abyss leaves the ring and grabs the 2×4 covered in nails aka “Janice.” Abyss scares off the referee when he swings the 2×4 at him. Crimson dodges a shot with the 2×4 and hits a spear on Abyss. Abyss kicks out. Abyss catches Crimson with a big boot to the chest. Crimson with a double underhook DDT and Abyss gets a shoulder up. Abyss with a body splash over Crimson in the corner. Crimson kicks out and Abyss can’t believe it. Crimson with a skyhigh powerbomb on Abyss and gets the pinfall. Crimson remains undefeated.

A video package runs featuring Chris Harris’ return to TNA teaming with Matt Hardy against Beer Money.
TNA Tag Team Championships
Beer Money (c’s) vs. Matt Hardy and Chris Harris
We start with Chris Harris and James Storm, the former America’s Most Wanted tag team partners. Harris is wearing “AMW” trunks. They circle the ring and Harris quickly tags in Matt Hardy. Storm with a high knee and neckbreaker bomb on Hardy. Tag to Robert Roode and Beer Money drop two sets of knees. Hardy sends Roode to the corner and tags in Harris. Roode with a big chop to Harris and quick flying takedown. More chops from Roode and neckbreaker combo. Tag to Hardy who takes a clothesline from Roode. Tag to Storm and Beer Money split the legs of Hardy. Hardy drops Storm and Roode with big right hands. Tag to Harris who yells out, “Now it is time!” Storm breaks free from Hardy and Harris bails. Harris takes a drink of Storm’s beer on the outside and spits it in his face. Harris with big left hands to Storm on the mat. Tag back to Hardy and Harris sends Hardy into Storm in the corner. Storm catches Hardy with knees to the face. Tags to Harris and Roode. Roode with a series of clotheslines dropping Harris. Roode catches Harris with a boot and neckbreaker combo. Roode sends Hardy to the outside when he jumps back in. Roode with another big chop to Harris. Roode with a hook suplex on Harris. Hardy pulls Storm off the ring apron when Roode went for a tag. Harris with a full nelson slam on Roode with force. Hardy with a side slam on Roode after getting the tag. Hardy drops an elbow over Roode as well. Tag to Harris who sends Roode into the corner with help from Hardy. Harris spits in the face of Storm. Roode gets the hot tag to Storm. Harris and Storm start going at it with Storm getting the better of him. Storm with a Lou Thesz Press dropping some big right hands. Harris tosses Storm out, Storm holds on and flips back in going back after Harris. Storm with a DDT through the ropes on Harris. Roode tosses Hardy out. Storm has Harris hooked in the corner and drops him with an inverted DDT. Hardy with a Side Effect on Roode back in the ring. Storm with a backcracker on Hardy. We get the BEER…MONEY spot. Storm with a superkick on Harris. Roode was about to setup Harris for the DWI, but Storm stops him and says he wants to go up top. Roode holds Harris and Storm comes off the top rope with a leg drop executing the old America’s Most Wanted Death Sentence double team finisher. Storm gets the pinfall for the win.
Winners and still TNA Tag Team Champions: Beer Money
After the match, James Storm stares down at Chris Harris. Robert Roode tosses him one of the titles and Beer Money holds up the TNA Tag Team Championships. We see a replay of the finish.
Backstage, Bully Ray is getting in Jeremy Borash’s face saying he knows he intimidates people. JB asks why Tommy Dreamer is acting out recently. Ray said JB and everyone else is on a need to know basis. He talks about how he could easily beat JB right now “because he can.” Ray said AJ Styles embodies everything he hates about modern day pro wrestlers. He said a real wrestler drinks whiskey, listens to rock and roll and chase women. Ray pushes JB away and said he powerbomed AJ off the entrance ramp because he wanted to. He promises to take out AJ once again and then focus on his friends in Fortune. Ray threatens to visit AJ’s “redneck house” to do bad things with his wife.
No DQ Rules
AJ Styles vs. Tommy Dreamer
Quick lock up and counter attempts. Dreamer got to the ropes and the referee reminded him it was No DQ rules and he couldn’t do anything. Styles yelled down at Dreamer to knock it off. Styles with a big kick to the back. Dreamer catches Styles with a big boot in the corner. Dreamer drops Styles down face first in the corner. Dreamer drops a series of elbows over Styles. Styles fights back with a series of clotheslines. Styles catches Dreamer with a huge dropkick and then slingshots over the top rope to the outside. Styles slaps on the ring apron yelling, “This is my house!” Styles grabs a drink from the crowd and pours it on Dreamer. Dreamer runs away and then sends Styles face first into the steel steps. Styles then crotches Dreamer on the guard railing. Styles rolls under the steel guard railing, springboards off the top of the railing and catches Dreamer with a big forearm to the head. They brawl into the crowd. They still have the old “iMPACT!” logos on the walls in the crowd. So much for that rebranding. Dreamer grabs one of the old iMPACT! logo signs and breaks it over Styles’ head. Styles has a cut near his temple and is busted open. Dreamer is back ringside putting a garbage can full of weapons inside. Styles is back in and kicks the garbage can in his face. Styles grabs a table, brings it inside and drops it right into Dreamer’s face as he falls back with it. The crowd in Orlando starts a “WE WANT FIRE” chant. Styles tosses Dreamer shoulder first into the corner. Styles has the table halfway setup, scales up it and hits a flying forearm to Dreamer in the corner. “THIS IS AWESOME” chant starts up. Dreamer with a big DDT on Styles. Dreamer grabs a fork and Styles tries to block it. Styles with a Pele Kick. Styles has Dreamer ready for a Styles Clash when Bully Ray hits the ring hitting Styles in the back of the head using a chain. Christopher Daniels runs out to chase away Bully Ray. Dreamer has Styles up for a piledriver and executes it over the table breaking it in half. Dreamer gets the pinfall.
Winner: Tommy Dreamer
A video package runs highlighting Kurt Angle’s feud with Jeff and Karen Jarrett and the introduction of Chyna.
Kurt Angle and Chyna vs. Jeff and Karen Jarrett
This will be Chyna’s first pro wrestling PPV match domestically since May of 2001 (fact courtesy of Onlineworldofwrestling.com). Karen is at ringside scared and wanting to leave. Jeff is talking her up to the ring apron. Jeff and Karen hug as Kurt Angle smiles from inside the ring. We start with Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle. Angle with a series of headlock takedowns early on. The crowd starts a “CHYNA’S GONNA KILL YOU” chant. Angle with a huge hip toss and suplex combo on Jarrett. Chyna gets the tag to a big reaction. Jarrett bails. The referee calls for Karen to get into the ring. Karen is crying calling for Jeff. The referee starts the count. Jarrett with a cheap shot on Angle as he remains the legal man. Chyna is forced to return to her corner. Jeff hugs Karen. Angle counters Jarrett hitting a powerbomb and rolling him over into an Ankle Lock. Karen gets in and Angle picks her up. Jarrett with a chop block that drops Karen to the mat. She runs back to her corner. Jarrett with a big dropkick on Angle. Jarrett drops Angle’s chin off the top rope. Jarrett with a crossbody. The crowd wants Chyna. Angle catches Jarrett with a clothesline. Angle with a series of strikes on Jarrett. Angle with a belly-to-belly overhead with a release on Jarrett. Angle with one german suplex on Jarrett, a second and a third with a release. Jarrett counters an Angle Slam with a kick to the head. Angle with an Ankle Lock. Jarrett rolls through. Angle with an Angle Slam, cover and Jarrett gets a shoulder up. Angle grabs Jarrett’s arm trying to tag in Karen. Jarrett low blows Angle without the referee noticing. Chyna gets the tag. Chyna with a scoop slam and suplex on Jarrett. Chyna starts stalking Karen following her. Karen runs around the ring and rolls back in. Karen bumps into Angle. Chyna is in. Chyna splashes Karen in the corner. Chyna with a Pedigree on Karen. Huge reaction in Orlando. Chyna applies the Ankle Lock. Karen is about to tap when Jarrett rolls in keeping her arm in the air from tapping. Angle then applies the Ankle Lock on Jarrett. Both Jeff and Karen tap out.
Winners: Kurt Angle and Chyna
After the match, we see highlights from the match leading to the finish. Kurt Angle and Chyna celebrate the win heading up the ramp.
A video package runs highlighting Sting vs. RVD tonight.
Mr. Anderson is on his way out to the Impact Wrestling Zone. He announces he will be the special guest commentator tonight with Mike Tenay and Taz. Anderson said he plans to do a little “scouting” tonight. Tenay mentions on commentary that Anderson will challenge the winner of tonight’s main event next month at Slammiversary 9.
TNA Championship
Sting (c) vs. Rob Van Dam
Sting with a quick shoulder block early on. Sting catches RVD with a high knee when he dove forward. Sting with a clothesline on RVD and RVD quickly bails. RVD with a quick rollup on Sting when he jumps back in the ring. RVD then catches Sting with a big spin kick. RVD with big kicks to the body. RVD charges and misses a splash on Sting in the corner flipping over the top rope to the outside. Sting attempts a Stinger Splash on RVD over the guard railing, but RVD sees it coming and bails. RVD attempts a leg drop springboarding off the steel guard railing, but Sting moves and RVD clutches his leg in pain. Sting goes to work on RVD’s bad leg kicking away at it. Sting sends RVD into the wall in the crowd. RVD counters sending Sting back first into the wall now. Anderson is now making PG jokes on commentary. More brawling in the crowd. RVD with a modified crossbody sending Sting into the steel guard railing. Sting fights his way back to the ringside area along with RVD. Sting is the first back in the ring. RVD drops Sting’s head off the top rope. RVD comes off the top rope with a big kick to the head. Sting gets his knees up during a Rolling Thunder attempt by RVD. Sting with a series of clotheslines on RVD. Stinger Splash attempt and RVD catches Sting with a big spin kick. Sting rolls out of the way when RVD attempts a Five Star Frog Splash. Sting with a close rollup. Sting attempts a Scorpion Deathdrop, but doesn’t get all of it. Sting picks up RVD and connects with another Scorpion Deathdrop. Sting gets the pinfall.
Winner and still TNA World Heavyweight Champion: Sting
After the match, Sting holds up the TNA Championship. On commentary, Mr. Anderson said he has something of a surprise in store for Sting this Thursday night on Impact. Guess he didn’t get the memo of the new name. We then see a replay of the match leading to the finish. Back live, RVD smiles at Sting and raises his arm. Mr. Anderson says he is going to go visit with Sting in the ring. They flash the copyright graphic as Anderson is walking towards the ring. Anderson and Sting have a stare down.
