A video package runs focusing on the #1 contendership match for the TNA Championship involving Matt Morgan and Mr. Anderson.
A graphic opening hits welcoming us to TNA Genesis. We go live to the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida where a series of pyro goes off above the ring and in the entrance area. Mike Tenay is the first to welcome us to the first TNA PPV of 2011.
Kazarian (representing Fortune) is out first to kick off the show.
TNA X Division Championship
Jay Lethal (c) vs. Kazarian
Lethal with a quick snap huricanrana right as the bell rings on Kazarian. Lethal with a few chops, hip toss and Kazarian dodges a dropkick rolling out. Lethal with a quick suicide dive on Kazarian to the outside. Huge chop by Lethal. Lethal with a springboard moonsault after Kazarian reversed an irish whip towards the ring. Back in the ring, Lethal connects with his dropkick to the face. More chops from Lethal in the corner. Lethal avoids a ref bump, but Kazarian tosses him face first into the opposite corner. More chops from Lethal. Lethal trips up Kazarian. Kazarian catches Lethal with a quick uppercut. Kazarian with a quick combo ending in a big leg drop. Kazarian springboard flips Lethal back in the ring from the ring apron. Both battle up top. Lethal with a sitdown powerbomb for a close two count. Lethal with the Lethal Combination and gets a close two count. Lethal counters out of Kazarian’s reverse Tombstone. Kazarian with a slingshot DDT. Close two count. Kazarian slaps Lethal. Lethal with a series of powerful chops and body shots. Kazarian with a kick to the throat when Lethal got up on the top turnbuckle. Ref bump when Lethal pushes Kazarian away in the corner. Kazarian crotches Lethal in the top turnbuckle and hits his reverse Tombstone Piledriver. Kazarian with the cover and gets the three count.
Winner and NEW TNA X Division Champion: Kazarian
After the match, Kazarian is handed the TNA X Division Championship and he starts to celebrate. We then see highlights of the match leading to the finish.
We go to Mike Tenay and Taz near the stage discussing how Immortal and Fortune had a goal tonight: to gain all the championships in TNA and how Kazarian has brought them one step closer to that goal.
Backstage, Ric Flair is telling Eric Bischoff that AJ Styles can’t wrestle tonight. Bischoff complains about dealing with problems with Dixie Carter, not to mention everything Hulk Hogan is going through health wise, he is now trying to understand why AJ can’t wrestle tonight. Flair said it is serious. AJ said he has been having problems with his knee for a while and made it worse spending time with his kids. Bischoff said he made a promise that Immortal would win all the TNA titles tonight. He wants a solution right now and tells AJ to “limp his ass on out of here.” AJ tosses things off Bischoff’s table. Flair said they can work through this.
A video package runs focusing on Mickie James becoming the #1 contender for the TNA Knockouts Championship and her match with Madison Rayne tonight.
TNA Knockouts Championship
Madison Rayne (c) vs. Mickie James
James with some quick offense early on including a big dropkick sending Rayne through the ropes to the outside. Rayne argues with the referee to do his job. James with a reverse headlock. Rayne scales up the ropes to try and break it, but James breaks the hold and Rayne falls to the mat with force. Rayne then pulls James down by her hair. James with a big Lou Thesz Press and then tosses Rayne across the ring by her hair. Rayne rolls out and the referee starts the count. Rayne drops James jaw off the top rope, breaks the count and gets a quick two count. The crowd in Orlando starts a loud “YOU CAN’T WRESTLE” chant towards Rayne. James fights back with a quick dropkick to the face, hook of the leg and a close two count. Rayne with a roll up using the ropes without the referee noticing for another two count. James with a big head scissors on Rayne, but is tossed off the top turnbuckle when Rayne recovers. Rayne keeps the action grounded working over the head of James. Rayne attempts a scissor stomp, but James counters out quickly. Taz called what Rayne attempted “vintage.” James licks her hand and spanks Rayne in the corner. James with a reverse neckbreaker. Tara’s music hits and she walks down the ramp. James jumps out getting in her face. The referee gets between them. Rayne then drops down laying on her back as James gets back in. James picks her up and Rayne hits her with a big left hand punch. It appears Rayne had the glove loaded. Rayne hooks the leg and gets the pinfall.
Winner and still TNA Knockouts Champion: Madison Rayne
After the match, we see Rayne moving her arm to drop down whatever was in her glove to help her knock out James.
Backstage, Fortune is celebrating with Kazarian holding the TNA X Division Championship. Kazarian reminds everyone he is now a four-time X Division champion. Ric Flair fires up Beer Money with a “WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.” Eric Bischoff steps in and Christy Hemme wants to know who will face RVD tonight and who will replace AJ Styles tonight. Bischoff informs us that Abyss will replace AJ Styles in the match for the TNA TV Championship.

The Motor City Machineguns (c) vs. Beer Money
We start with Alex Shelley and Robert Roode. Roode drops Shelley working over his left leg. Shelley with a quick one leg kick to Roode. Tag to James Storm and Chris Sabin. The Guns double team Storm ending with a dropkick to the face and double kicks to Roode. Tag back to Shelley who works over Storm’s arm. Quick tag to Sabin who drops his body off Storm’s arm. Storm with a big right hand on Sabin. Sabin with a dropkick sending Storm off the ring apron to the outside. Shelley with a suicide dive on Storm and Sabin takes out Roode with a suicide dive as well. Shelley misses a double foot stomp and catches Storm with a shot to the gut that Taz said is full of beer. Roode with a big lariat on Shelley, Storm with a cover and gets a two count. Tag to Roode who works over Shelley in the corner. Tag to Storm who lands a big right on Shelley. Storm taunts Sabin including spitting at him as the referee holds back Sabin. Shelley with Sliced Bread on Storm off the corner. Roode pulls Sabin off the ring apron as Shelley extended his hand for a tag. Tag to Roode who stomps over the hand of Shelley. Tag to Storm who keeps Shelley grounded. We get a BEER…MONEY spot. Roode with a neckbreaker on Shelley for a two count. Quick tag to Storm. Storm chokes Shelley against the ropes. Roode catapults Shelley into Storm. Shelley with a forearm, kick to the head on Storm and drops Roode face first into the corner. Sabin dodges Roode pulling him off the ring apron once more and gets the hot tag. Sabin with a head scissors takedown on Roode. Sabin follows that up with a kick to the face. Sabin sets up Roode in the tree of woe and connects with his hesitation dropkick. Sabin with a superkick to Storm and suplexes him over Roode. Sabin dumps out Storm, kicks Roode and hits a snap huricanrana. Sabin has Shelley on his shoulders and is tossed into Roode hitting a spike DDT. Storm breaks up the cover. Sabin with a springboard clothesline on Roode and Shelley with a stomp off the top for a close two count. Storm is in and hits a backcracker on Shelley. Sabin with a kick to the head on Storm. Storm spits beer in the face of Sabin and Roode connects with a spinebuster for a close two count. Shelley with a baseball slide on Storm followed by a slingshot crossbody block. The Guns with double kicks to Roode in the corner. Sabin with a neckbreaker on Roode and Shelley with a crossbody. Cover…1…2…Storm pulls the referee out. Shelley with a crossbody block on Storm off the top turnbuckle. Sabin with a springboard DDT attempt, but Roode counters into a northern lights suplex with a bridge for a two count. Storm with a superkick on Shelley. Roode and Storm hit the DWI, cover…1…2…Sabin somehow kicks out. Roode and Storm can’t believe it. Shelley fights off a second DWI attempt. Sabin ends up hitting Shelley with a kick to the head in the corner by accident and Roode rolls him up for the win.

After the match, Chris Sabin can’t believe it as Beer Money celebrate with the TNA Tag Team Championships. We then go to highlights of the match leading to the finish.
Backstage, Christy Hemme is with Brother Devon to get his thoughts on his match with Bully Ray up next. Devon said tonight he plans to prove what Ray said wasn’t true in that he carried him throughout their entire tag team career.

Bully Ray vs. Brother Devon
Before the match, Bully Ray backed up the entrance ramp and grabbed SoCal Val. Val slapped Ray and Devon runs up hitting him with some big shots. Devon grabs a water bottle and hits it over the forehead of Ray. Devon with some big right hand body shots. Devon grabs Ray’s leather vest and starts choking him with it. Devon with more right hands.
They enter the ring and the bell officially rings. Ray drops to his knees begging Devon. Devon blocks a low blow and hits some more right hands. Ray with a jumping clothesline for a two count. Devon with a Lou Thesz Press and more right hands. Devon with a big scoop slam. Ray bails out of the ring and Devon drops a forearm off the steel steps. Ray pushes Devon away and bails into the crowd. Devon tosses Ray shoulder first into the Impact Zone wall on the bleachers. Devon with more rights. A fan tosses a shoe at Devon and Devon hits Ray with it. Both return to the ring and Ray connects with a double axe handle as Devon gets in. Ray rakes the eyes of Devon. Devon catches Ray with an elbow, goes up top, jumps forward and Ray counters into a modified looking RKO. Devon with a huge spinebuster on Ray, hook of the leg and Ray gets a shoulder up. Ray puts Devon up on the top turnbuckle and connects with some huge chest chops. Ray then climbs up and executes a huge superplex on Devon. Ray grabs his chain and tries to hit Devon with it. Devon ducks it and gives Ray a high back body drop. Devon grabs the chain and cracks it over the back of Ray. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner via DQ: Bully Ray
After the match, Devon continues hitting Ray over the back with the chain. More TNA referees hit the ring and pull Devon away. The crowd in Orlando chants “LET THEM FIGHT.” Ray then goes after Devon diving past the referees. More TNA officials hit the ring to break them up. Ray breaks free again and low blow kicks Devon. Ray bails out and heads to the back. Taz described it as a “swift kick to the yam bag.”
Backstage, Christy Hemme is with Jeff Jarrett getting thoughts on his “MMA Exhibition” with Kurt Angle tonight. Jarrett said to his knowledge Kurt Angle is not undefeated in his MMA career and hasn’t even had an MMA match. He said he is undefeated in MMA and the $100,000 he put up for grabs is proof. Jarrett said he will put that money on the line tonight in 3 rounds at 2 minutes each. He said he plans to “feel out” Angle tonight early on, adding to Christy that he is speaking MMA talk.
TNA TV Championship
Douglas Williams (c) vs. Abyss
The left hand of Douglas Williams is heavily wrapped up. Abyss fights off a go behind by Williams. Williams attempts a sunset flip. Abyss counters, attempts a scoop slam, Williams jumps off and sends Abyss into the corner with a quick rollup for a two count. Williams with an uppercut, but Abyss overpowers him and sends Williams into the corner. Abyss grabs the bad hand of Williams and hits it against the steel ring post. Williams comes off the top turnbuckle, Abyss catches him, Williams counters out and Abyss levels him with a big boot. Abyss with a big chest chop to Williams. Williams with a quick back suplex. Abyss is down as Williams goes up top and drops a flying knee across the head of Abyss into a cover for a close two count. Williams attempts his running knee, but Abyss catches him in the air and powers him down with a huge chokeslam. Cover by Abyss and Williams grabs the bottom rope to break the pinfall. Abyss leaves the ring and pulls out his 2×4 covered in barbed wire aka “Janice.” The referee sees this and tells Abyss to put it away. With the referee distracted, AJ Styles hits the ring with the TNA TV Championship and knocks out Williams with it. Abyss drops the 2×4, returns to the ring, lifts up Williams and executes a standing Black Hole Slam for the three count.
Winner and NEW TNA TV Champion: Abyss
After the match, Abyss celebrates with the TNA Television Championship. Tenay mentions that Immortal did what they said they would do and that is own all the gold in TNA.
Backstage, Rob Van Dam tells Eric Bischoff to make the match with Jeff Hardy to get his revenge. Bischoff said you got it.
Matt Hardy walks out revealing himself as Rob Van Dam’s mystery opponent. Hardy’s hair is braided with different colors.
Rob Van Dam vs. Matt Hardy
Before the match, Matt Hardy extends his hand and RVD shoves it aside. Hardy with a big neckbreaker takedown early on RVD. RVD with a few elbows to Hardy. Hardy is tossed to the ring apron and RVD catches him with a kick knocking him to the ground. RVD kicks Hardy off the ring apron when he tries to climb back in. RVD with a springboard moonsault taking out Hardy. RVD with a flying crossbody for a two count on Hardy after they return to the ring. RVD counters out of a Twist of Fate attempt. Hardy drives the back of RVD’s head on the bottom turnbuckle pad. Looked pretty dangerous. Hardy with a clothesline to RVD in the corner. Hardy with a running bulldog on RVD. RVD again lands badly while it is executed. Hardy with a full nelson on RVD. Hardy with a big reverse neckbreaker on RVD. Hardy goes up top, jumps and RVD catches him with a kick to the throat. Both exchange right hands and Hardy plants RVD with his leaping side slam. Hardy keeps RVD grounded applying a headlock. RVD comes back with a body scissor rollup for a close two count. RVD with a series of offense including a big side kick. RVD with a twisting kick to the head, cover and Hardy kicks out. RVD with an atomic drop and springboard kick from the top turnbuckle. RVD with a Rolling Thunder over Hardy. RVD is up top, jumps and connects with the Five Star Frog Splash. Great camera shot as RVD connected. RVD hooks the leg…1…2…Hardy’s hand was under the bottom rope. Hardy grabs the bottom rope as RVD comes in with kicks. Hardy with a Twist of Fate, hooks the leg…1…2…RVD puts his foot under the bottom rope…3. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Matt Hardy
After the match, we see highlights of the match and the controversial finish.
Backstage, Christy Hemme is with Kurt Angle. Angle said he knows Jarrett has questioned what kind of shape he was in, but all he has to do is ask his wife. He said he plans on kicking Jarrett’s ass tonight.

Jeff Jarrett vs. Kurt Angle
Believe it or not, Taz mentioned on commentary that Jeff Jarrett is now married to Kurt Angle’s ex-wife Karen. Before the contest, Kurt Angle said if any of Jarrett’s guys interfere, he will break their necks.
Round #1: The two minutes counts down. Angle stalks Jarrett as Jarrett circles around. Angle teases a takedown and then backs off. Angle then drops down to his back begging Jarrett to walk up. 30 seconds is on the clock as Angle sits back up. Angle goes for a takedown. Angle attempts a double leg. Angle gets the takedown and Angle locks on a rear naked choke as time expires.
We get an MMA style corner break with Jarrett’s crew hyping him up.
Round #2: Angle extends his leg inviting Jarrett to shoot on him. Jarrett goes for a takedown. Angle sprawls out and gets a kimora locked on. Jarrett breaks free and yells out, “Son of a bitch!” Angle with another takedown and gets side control. Angle attempts an arm triangle and gets it locked in. Angle breaks free saying he can tap Jarrett whenever he wants. Angle with a front choke and Jarrett gets his feet on the ropes to break it up. Angle with a lousy looking takedown floating over into an armbar. Angle breaks that and gets the Ankle Lock applied. Time expires.
Jarrett spits towards Angle. Jarrett’s crew yell at him, “This is your round Jeff!” It appears Gunner and Murphy rubbed something on the chest of Jarrett.
Round #3: Jarrett locks up with Angle and rubs his face in his chest. Angle favors his eyes. Jarrett with big right hands to Angle. We can then clearly see Angle getting ready to blade on the mat. Bad camera shot. Blood starts pouring down the face of Angle as Jarrett reigns down huge right hands. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner: No contest
After the match, Jeff Jarrett continues to hit Kurt Angle over the forehead with big right hands. Blood continues to pour out of the head of Angle. They do a close up of the blood literally pouring into a puddle on the mat. Jarrett yells at Angle that he is retiring his MMA boots and he will hold a retirement for Angle with himself, Angle and “you know who else.” Jarrett walks up near Tenay and Taz saying he is retiring from MMA undefeated.
Backstage, Christy Hemme is with TNA Champion Jeff Hardy and mentions up next is Matt Morgan vs. Mr. Anderson to determine who will become the #1 contender to face him for his TNA Championship. Hardy said welcome to chapter Genesis, where anything can happen.

Matt Morgan vs. Mr. Anderson
Jeremy Borash did ring introductions for Morgan and Anderson.
Lock up and Morgan gets the headlock. Shoulder block by Morgan that takes down Anderson right away. Lock up, Anderson gets the headlock this time and attempts a shoulder block of his own. Morgan doesn’t move. Another shoulder block by Morgan and follows with a hip toss. Anderson dodges a leg drop attempt by Morgan and hits a diving clothesline. Anderson with a big kick to the leg of Morgan. Anderson with a overhand right. Morgan launches Anderson into the corner and fires off some right hands. Morgan with a body splash and side slam combo. Anderson dodges a Carbon Footprint attempt. Anderson jumps up on the ring apron, jumps, Morgan catches him and drives him spine first into the steel ring post. Morgan tosses Anderson back in the ring for a two count. Morgan with his trademark elbows in the corner on Anderson. Morgan misses a body splash and Anderson takes out the leg. Morgan favors his knee and Anderson stomps over his foot. Anderson scissor locks the bad leg/knee of Morgan. Anderson then locks on a single leg Boston Crab. Morgan gets to the bottom rope and Anderson breaks the hold. Morgan with a powerful chokeslam off the top turnbuckle on Anderson to the mat below. Taz noted he looked at how Anderson’s head whiplashed off the mat during the chokeslam referencing his past concussion. Morgan plants Anderson with a big clothesline. Anderson counters Morgan’s twisting clothesline into a Mic Check. Anderson covers 1…2…Morgan somehow gets a shoulder up. Morgan and Anderson exchange right hands. Morgan with his Carbon Footprint…1…2…Anderson kicks out of that. Morgan can’t believe it. Morgan counters another Mic Check attempt. Anderson attempts a shoulder block. Looks like they connected heads. Anderson with a quick cradle rollup and gets the pinfall.

After the match, the Immortal music hits. Eric Bischoff walks down the ramp with a steel chair in hand. Bischoff teases he would hit Anderson with the chair, but instead sets it up and sits down. Bischoff gets on the mic and says why wait? He says Anderson will get his title shot right now. Jeff Hardy walks out smoking a cigarette. Hardy tosses it away and hits the ring in street clothes.
TNA Championship
Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Mr. Anderson
Hardy beats over Anderson with a few forearms and connects with a Twist of Hate. Hardy covers…1…2…Anderson kicks out. Hardy is surprised. We can still see Matt Morgan on the outside recovering from the prior #1 contendership match. Hardy picks up a lifeless Anderson and connects with a second Twist of Hate. Hardy covers…1…2…Anderson gets a shoulder up. Hardy can’t believe it. Hardy goes to pick up Anderson again and Anderson falls down tossing Hardy through the ropes to the outside. Anderson distracts the referee as Matt Morgan clotheslines Hardy on the outside. Morgan tosses Hardy back in the ring, Anderson covers and gets a close two count. Hardy and Anderson start exchanging right hands. Anderson gets the better of it until Hardy kicks him in the gut. Anderson with a big combo into a spinning neckbreaker for a close two count. Hardy with a Whisper in the Wind on Anderson. Anderson falls out of the ring and attempts to recover. Hardy grabs a steel chair and walks towards Anderson. Mick Foley runs up and takes the chair out of the hand of Hardy. Ric Flair walks down and yells at Foley. TNA officials break it up between them. In the ring, Hardy tosses Anderson back in. Hardy is up top and Anderson crotches him. Anderson tries to climb up, but Hardy pushes him away to the mat. Hardy with a Swanton Bomb. Hardy hooks the leg…1…2…Anderson somehow kicks out yet again. Anderson with his flipping shoulder bomb on Hardy. Hardy recovers quickly and takes out Anderson with a clothesline. Hardy calls for his brother Matt. Matt runs down and RVD is in pursuit. RVD pulls Matt away from the ring and hits him with right hands near the ramp. Bischoff has a chair in the ring. Anderson kicks Bischoff and gives him a Mic Check. Hardy is back in, Anderson counters a Twist of Hate and hits the Mic Check. Anderson hooks the leg and gets the pinfall.
Winner and NEW TNA Champion: Mr. Anderson
Huge reaction from the crowd in Orlando to the finish. After the match, Mr. Anderson is handed the TNA Championship as other members of Immortal and Fortune run down in shock. We then see highlights of the match leading to the finish. Back live, Anderson is holding up the TNA Championship. Anderson reaches up for his mic to speak. Looks like a fan ran in to take part in the fun. He refers to himself as the Total Nonstop Action Champion, Mr. Anderson. The PPV goes off the air with Anderson celebrating on all four corners holding up the TNA Championship.
