Impact Wrestling kicks off this week with highlights from last week’s Triple Threat between Hardy, Roode, & AJ. Video montage voiceover guy hypes up the confrontation between Kurt Angle & Storm for tonight as well.
Sting’s music hits as we cut to the arena and he makes his way down to the ring. Sting says they’re going to get right down to business tonight and calls Bobby Roode out to the ring. The Champ doesn’t make Stinger wait long either. Sting says they still have some consequences for Roode to deal with tonight and then he calls Dixie Carter down to the ring. Sting says when Roode put his hands on Dixie Carter it was the same as putting his hands on Sting himself. Sting says he hasn’t forgotten about that and he reminds everyone of what happened when he used Dixie as a shield between he and AJ. Sting says Roode needs to apologize publicly and he owes it to her.
Roode asks Sting if he’s serious and then says he will apologize because that’s the kind of man he is but he wants to do it the right way. Roode approaches Dixie and says he wants to publicly apologize to her and sincerely say he’s sorry for not being completely honest with her. He says he’s not scared to say anything anymore because he’s the champ and she needs him. Roode says business is better than ever with him holding the belt, he talks about advertisers wanting to jump on the “Bobby Roode Express.” Roode says that even Dixie wants to jump on his “ride” but he says he wouldn’t even sell her a ticket because she’s not woman enough to “last the whole ride.” Sting goes nuts when he hears this but Dixie gets him to stop from attacking Roode.
Roode tells Sting to let him finish and then he says Dixie is a fake and just daddies little rich girl. He says Dixie never earned a thing and she was born rich. He says Dixie couldn’t run a lemonade stand let alone a wrestling company. Roode says she’s pathetic and asks who she thinks she is. Roode says HE is Bobby Roode, the World Heavyweight Champion and the “it factor” of Pro Wrestling and leader of the selfish generation. He says whether she likes it or not he is the face of TNA. Roode says he just spit in the face of authority and then starts to walk out of the ring before turning around and LITERALLY spitting in Dixie’s face! No, seriously I think I saw a loogie literally bounce of Dixie’s forehead.
Roode bails out of the ring before Sting could grab him and strangle him. Sting gives chase up the ramp as Roode stands on the ramp and screams “I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT!”
————————————-COMMERCIAL BREAK——————————————–
They replay Roode “spitting in the face of authority” and then AJ grabs Roode backstage and shoves him against the wall. AJ says Dixie gave him everything he has now and says the only reason he isn’t picking him apart right now is because he wants everyone to see it. He says he’ll leave just a little bit left during their match tonight so he can make it to Final Resolution. Sting comes barreling in now screaming with Al Snow and D-Lo Brown trying to hold him back. AJ tells Sting he has this and he can handle it. He says Sting has to stay level headed. Jeff Hardy comes in now as well to try and calm Sting down. Sting tells Jeff and AJ to “go get him then.”
“Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe vs. “The Monster” Abyss
Taz and Tenay talk about the girls that Steiner & Ray sent to “convince” Abyss to return to Immortal. As Abyss shoots in for a lockup Joe ducks underneath Abyss and then connects with a series of jabs followed by a big chop. Joe hits the ropes but then eats a shoulder block from Abyss. Abyss hits Joe with a series of right hands and then goes for a Corner Splash but Joe moves it and connects with a Leaping Enziguri! Joe puts the boots to Abyss and then goes for the Running Facewash but Abyss gets to his feet and hits a Big Boot on Joe!
————————————-COMMERCIAL BREAK——————————————–
Back from the break Joe rakes Abyss’ eyes and then picks him up and hits an Atomic Drop followed by a Running Mafia Kick! Joe then hits a Backsplash Senton! 1…2…NO Abyss kicks out! Joe hits Abyss with jabs and headbutts now and then climbs up top. Joe dives off the top but Abyss catches him in midair! Abyss goes for a chokeslam but Joe hits him with back elbows. Joe then comes off the ropes but Abyss nails him with a clothesline followed by a second one! Abyss goes for the Chokeslam again but Joe stomps on his feet and then hits another Leaping Enziguri! Joe then hits a Running Knee Strike! Joe mocks Abyss and then lifts him up and on the top rope. Joe sets up for the Muscle Buster but Scott Steiner runs down to the ring. The referee is distracted by Steiner as Bully Ray comes into the ring and blasts Joe with the chain! Abyss then grabs Joe and hits the Chokeslam for the pin.
Winner: Abyss via pinfall (Chokeslam)
Steiner and Ray get into the ring to celebrate with Abyss and raise his arms in victory but then Abyss grabs Steiner and nails him with the Black Hole Slam! Abyss looks at Ray and he bails out of the ring and takes off before Abyss could get his hands on him.
In the back Karen Angle talks to Gail Kim and Madison Rayne and says that ODB didn’t do the job that they hired her for. Karen says they are relying on Madison tonight and she needs her to go tear Mickie apart. She says she doesn’t want Mickie to show up at Final Resolution in one piece. Karen says Gail also has a match tonight and Gail isn’t happy because she told her she had the night off. Gail is going to face Traci tonight which Traci isn’t happy with because she thinks Traci is going to take out all the frustration that Karen has caused on her.
————————————-COMMERCIAL BREAK——————————————–
In the back Sting talks to Gunner about Garret Bischoff. Gunner wants Garret back in the ring and he says that Garret has come to Sting twice asking for a match and he’s granted that. He says all he asks for is one more rematch with no Flair or Eric Bischoff out there. Sting agrees to it but he says Flair and Eric better not show up tonight.
The Pope and Devon make their way down to the ring getting ready for their shot at the Tag Titles this Sunday night. Devon calls Morgan and Crimson out to the ring and then says the reason he called them out to the ring is because he wanted to congratulate them on winning the Tag Team Titles. Devon says prior to taking those titles they were beating the hell out of each other and a couple of days later they join together and beat the hell out of Mexican America. Devon says as part of one of the greatest tag teams in the history of the business he happens to know a little thing about tag teams. He and Bubba won 23 titles together and have faced some of the greatest tag teams in the history of wrestling. Devon rips off some of the names of the teams they’ve faced (Beer Money, Motor City Machine Guns, Steiner Brothers, and Hardy Boyz). Devon says both of them have what it takes to become legends in the business but there is one thing they have to understand and that is that he and Pope are a tag team now and they will be facing them at Final Resolution. He says they expect them to bring their best because they will too. Devon when everything is said and done he and Pope will be the NEW Tag Team Champions. He says may the best team win and then shakes Crimson & Morgan’s hands.
They were about to leave it at that but Pope cuts the music off and grabs the microphone. Pope says he may not agree with everything Devon said but he and Devon can agree on is that Crimson & Morgan have proven to be “two of the biggest, dumbest honkies” they ever came across. Oh that is awesome. Pope repeats that he said they were honkies. He says this isn’t about how many titles they’ve had but it’s about the all mighty dollar and the gold on their shoulders because with the gold comes the money. Pope says as long as they have it then Pope and Devon are gunning for it. He says he will do whatever it takes to take those titles from them and they can “testify” to that. POPE HAS SPOKEN! Pope even shoves Morgan as he walks by.
Morgan then jumps Pope! Crimson goes after Devon as Devon attempted to pull Morgan off Pope! The brawl is on! Pope low blows Morgan in the ring as Devon and Crimson brawl at ringside. Pope tells Devon’s kids to jump in the ring and they oblige. He tells them to put the boots to Crimson and they again oblige him. Morgan gets to his feet and screams so Pope and Devon’s sons bail.
————————————-COMMERCIAL BREAK——————————————–
In the back James Storm arrives to the arena.
Madison Rayne vs. Mickie James
As Mickie comes into the ring Madison jumps her. Madison chokes Mickie in the corner and then whips her into the opposite corner. Madison slams Mickie headfirst into the top turnbuckle and then hits a Running Hip Attack followed by a Facebuster for a nearfall. Madison slams Mickie into the mat and then rakes her face with her fingernails. Madison locks in a headlock now and Mickie fights to her feet and breaks the hold with back elbows. Madison then jumps on Mickie’s back and locks in a Sleeper! Mickie backs into the corner slamming Madison into the turnbuckles. Madison gets right back on Mickie’s back with the Sleeper but this time Mickie flips her off her back! Mickie then hits a clothesline followed by a Running Forearm! Mickie follows up with a Flapjack and then she climbs up top. Mickie dives off the top and attempts the Diving Thesz Press! Madison sidesteps her and then clotheslines Mickie on the back. Madison kicks Mickie in the head and then covers her for another nearfall. Madison hits Mickie in the back and then chokes her on the middle rope. Madison hits a Snap Suplex and then she rolls into a Spinning Neckbreaker! 1…2…NO Mickie kicks out! Madison goes for the Rayne Drop but Mickie counters with an armdrag. Madison gets to her feet and charges at Mickie but Mickie catchers her with the Mickie-DT! 1…2…3!
Winner: Mickie via pinfall (Mickie-DT)
After the match Gail Kim walks onto the stage and taunts Mickie with the Knockouts Title belt.
————————————-COMMERCIAL BREAK——————————————–
Back from the break Ray and Steiner are talking about the issue with Abyss. Steiner says he did everything he could to get Abyss to come back. Ray says they have to do something else because what they’re doing isn’t working. Steiner says he and Eric are tight so he’ll go talk to him.
A video package highlighting the Bischoff drama is shown.
Garett Bischoff vs. Gunner w/Eric Bischoff & Ric Flair
Despite what Gunner told Sting, Eric & Flair do come to the ring with Gunner. Gunner tells Eric and Flair to leave ringside because he promised Sting that they wouldn’t get involved and Eric doesn’t like it. Gunner charges after Garett at the bell and he decides to run away but Gunner catches him and tosses him into the corner. Gunner starts beating the hell out of Garett. He slams a Shoulder Block into Garett and then he chokes him in the corner. Garett kicks Gunner off and then explodes with a Bulldog followed by a Facebuster! Garett then hits a Clothesline but Gunner just shrugs it off and then he nails a Running Back Elbow. Gunner kicks Garett out of the ring and then starts screaming at him. Gunner tosses him shoulder first into the ring post and then tosses him into it again. Gunner rolls Garett back into the ring and continues to pound on him. Gunner tosses Garett into the corner as Tenay points out that Gunner isn’t even attempting to pin him. Gunner slams Garett’s face into the top turnbuckle and again Garett attempts to fight out with right hands but Gunner nails him with a big right hand of his own and then starts choking Garett again. Gunner slams Garett back into the corner and then starts screaming at him and taunting him. Gunner tells the referee to get out of his face and then he starts pushing Garett around with his boot. Garett grabs Gunner’s leg as he goes to kick him and takes him down with a single leg takedown and rolls him up! 1…2…3!
Winner: Garett Bischoff via pinfall (rollup)
After the match Gunner starts beating the crap out of Garett again and then literally throws Garett threw the ropes to the floor. Gunner then tosses him into the ring steps. Gunner picks Garett up and goes to Piledrive him on the floor! Eric Bischoff runs down and screams at Gunner to stop! Gunner lets him go but then Eric pulls the floor padding away and tells Gunner to Piledrive his son on the concrete! Gunner obliges! Night, night Garett. Josh Boutwell approves of this message.
————————————-COMMERCIAL BREAK——————————————–
Back from the break Garett Bischoff is being loaded into an ambulance as Eric mocks Garett and mockingly claps for him. Flair slaps him on the chest and asks him that felt tonight. Flair and Eric hug and Eric says he’ll go home and tell “mom” that he’s doing just fine. Flair says “happy holidays” as they close the Ambulance doors.
James Storm makes his way down to the ring for his confrontation with Angle. Storm says last week a man called him out and told him to be here. Storm says he never backs down from a fight and he’s here right now. He says that if Angle has something to say to him then he came out right now and say it to his face.
Kurt Angle’s music hits and the Olympic Gold Medalist walks down to the ring with that psycho smile of his. Angle says he has to give Storm a lot of credit because either he’s just plain stupid or he’s one of the toughest S.O.B.’s he’s ever met. Angle says a couple of weeks ago he hit Storm from behind so hard that he thought he gave himself a damn concussion. Angle says he thought Storm would be out at least 6 months but it was only 3 weeks and that’s on Angle, he screwed up. Angle says at Final Resolution he won’t screw up again because when Storm comes into that ring with Angle he comes into Angle’s world. He says he’s the best wrestler in the world and what happened the last time they were in there together, when he says Storm “screwed” him out of the World Title, won’t happen again. Angle says Storm and Sting FORCED him to face Storm with less than 90 minutes to prepare but this time he’ll be ready because all he does is think about Storm morning, noon, and night.
Storm cuts Angle off and says he doesn’t need Angle to think about him when he goes to bed at night. Storm says that kind of creeps him out. Storm says that tone that Angle is trying to use right now is that intimidation factor he has and he says that Angle usually wins a match before it even happens because he tells his opponent what he’s going to do them, and he lets them know what will happen when they step into the ring with the greatest wrestler in the world. Storm gets in Angle’s face and says he needs to tell Angle something about himself. Storm says his dad passed away when he was 12 years old and he had 2 step-brothers that were killed by a drunk driver when he was 15, when he was 16 his stepdad died, when he was 19 his grandmother died, and he just put down his dog of 6 years last week. Storm says he’s looked death in the face so Angle scares him and there is nothing on God’s earth that intimidates him. Holy crap that was awesome!
Storm says Angle can tell him what he’s going to do to him all he wants but he’s about to tell Angle what he will do to Angle. He says last time Angle was on the receiving end of a Last Call it knocked him out and he beat Angle for the World Title, but this time when Angle’s on the receiving end of a Last Call and his head hits the mat Storm will then take his size 12 cowboy boot and stick it on Angle’s head and crush it like a beer can. Storm says he’ll show Angle how intimated he is of Angle right now and turn around and allow Angle a chance to jump him from behind again since that’s how he lights to fight. Storm says if Angle feels froggy then jump and then turns his back on Angle and stands there.
Angle doesn’t bite and just stares at Storm. Storm turns back around and says, “that’s what I thought…I’ll see you this Sunday…oh, and it’s REAL…IT’S DAMN REAL!” Storm leaves a pissed off looking Angle staring him down in the ring.
In the back Karen talks about the accusations people are making about her giving Gail special treatment so she has to have this match since Mickie just had a match. Karen then gets in Traci’s face and says there is one problem, she’s not fair. Karen tells Traci to get in the ring and lay down for Gail which she knows Traci has no problem laying down for someone. Karen says if she tries any funny business then she’ll have to deal with the wrath of Karen Jarrett.
————————————-COMMERCIAL BREAK——————————————–
In the back Devon is going psycho on his kids about getting involved in the fight with Morgan. Devon says he calls the shots with them and they better not ever step foot in that ring without his permission again. Pope walks in and Devon literally LAUNCHES Pope up into the air and against the wall (that was a pretty cool visual). Devon asks Pope if he’s out of his mind and then goes to punch Pope but one of his son’s grabs Devon’s arm to stop him from hitting Pope! Pope walks away as Devon looks like he’s about to rip his sons head off and crap down his throat. Devon shoves his son away and then says he’s going to leave right now because he may end up doing something he might regret if he doesn’t. He says that while he’s gone they need to think long and hard about what they did. Devon leaves and one his kids says “OH CRAP” and then Pope sticks his head around the corner to make sure Devon is gone and swags his way back into the room. Pope asks if they’re alright and their dad will calm down and then he says they did the right thing tonight. He says if they stick with him they’ll be main eventing in no time.
We cut to Jeff Hardy & AJ Styles getting ready for their match and AJ says he and Jeff are on the same page tonight and they both have something to prove.
Traci Brooks vs. Gail Kim w/Karen Jarrett
Gail tells Traci to lay down and she obliges, and Gail covers her. 1…2…NO Traci kicks out and then takes Gail down! Traci nails Gail with repeated right hands and then starts slamming Gail’s head into the mat repeatedly! Traci follows up with a Running Shoulder Block and then a Back Elbow. Gail hits a Running Shoulder Block in the corner rand then repeatedly rams her shoulder into Gail in the corner. Traci slams Gail to the mat and covers her, 1…2…NO Gail kicks out! Gail fights back on Traci with elbows but Traci grabs her head and slams her into the mat. Traci then hits a Running Double Knee to the back of Gail on the ropes followed by a clothesline. Traci then hits a Spear out of the corner! Karen runs down to the ring and screams at Traci to lay down. Traci grabs Karen and goes to hit her but Madison comes in and hits Madison from behind with a title belt as Earl Hebner got between Karen and Traci. Gail covers Traci and gets the pin.
Winner: Gail via pinfall
In the back Jeff Jarrett and Roode talk about their tag match tonight and he says Hardy won’t make it to Final Resolution after tonight. Roode says he’s beaten AJ before and he’ll do it again, nobody can do anything to him. He says AJ will just be another victim of Bobby Roode.
————————————-COMMERCIAL BREAK——————————————–
Earlier today Christopher Daniels cuts a promo on RVD and he asks when “Bob” Van Dam will get it in his thick skull that he can’t beat him. Daniels suggests they have a WRESTLING match with no trickery, no weapons just straight up wrestling inside the ring.
Tenay & Taz run down the card for Final Resolution. EY-Robbie for the TV Title, Kash-Aries for the X-Division Title, Storm-Angle, and Daniels-RVD have been added to the card.
Main Event
“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles & “Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy vs. “Rey de Mexico” Jeff Jarrett & Bobby Roode w/Karen Jarrett
This match is brought to you by Wrangler Jeans: real, comfortable, jeans… and AJ & Hardy jump the heels! The match immediately spills out to the floor where the babyfaces are taking it to the heels. Hardy slams Jarrett into the ring steps while AJ beats on Roode’s ribs near the guardrail with kicks and punches. AJ slams Roode into the guardrail as Jarrett comes back on Hardy and shoves him into the ring post. Jarrett comes over and attacks AJ from behind and slams AJ into the guardrail. Jarrett rolls AJ back into the ring and beats on him in the corner. Jarrett then attempts to whip AJ into the ropes but AJ reverses it and then leapfrogs Jarrett and connects with the Phenomenal Dropkick. AJ then charges at Jarrett in the corner but Jarrett backdrops him over the top rope. AJ lands on the apron and connects with a right hand followed by the Springboard Flying Forearm off the top! Jarrett ducks it and AJ lands on the mat and immediately sells it like he injured his leg on the landing. Jarrett goes to kick the leg but AJ catches his leg and nails Jarrett with a big right hand. AJ limps to his corner and tags Hardy in. Jarrett takes off running to his corner and tags in Roode.
————————————-COMMERCIAL BREAK——————————————–
Back from the break Roode whips Hardy into the corner and Hardy floats up out of the corner into a Head Scissors Takeover on Roode! Hardy then hits an Atomic Drop followed by a Leg Drop to the nuts of Roode and a Sliding Dropkick! 1…2…NO Roode kicks out! Hardy slams Roode into the corner and tags AJ back in! AJ is still limping but he lays into Roode with right hands and chops. Roode is able to come back and take that leg of AJ out with a kick to the knee. Roode tags Jarrett in and Jarrett charges at AJ but AJ catches him with a Hip Toss! AJ tosses Jarrett into the corner and then attempts to whip him into the opposite one but Jarrett reverse it and then charges at AJ. AJ nails Jarrett with a back elbow and then clotheslines Roode off the apron! Roode gets to his feet and trips AJ and pulls AJ’s leg out to the apron and slams it down onto the apron. Roode tags back in and stomps away at AJ’s leg. Jarrett tags back in and now Jarrett starts stomping on the leg. Roode tags right back in and continues the assault on the injured leg of AJ. Roode rakes the back of AJ and then he grabs AJ’s leg and holds it as he kicks it again. Roode rakes the eyes of AJ now and then tags Jarrett back in. Jarrett hangs AJ’s leg up in the ropes and then drops down on it with a Cannonball. Did Jeff Jarrett just do the Tim Tebow pose? My hatred for Jarrett has never been greater than at this point. Jarrett knocks Hardy off the apron and then he taunts Hardy as the referee holds Hardy back. AJ rolls Jarrett up as he wasn’t paying attention! 1…2…NO Jarrett kicks out! Jarrett immediately reaches up and tags Roode back in. Roode continues the assault on AJ’s leg and then foot stomps AJ’s nuts as Hardy argued with the referee. Roode puts the boots to AJ in the corner and continue stomping on that knee. Roode tries to drag AJ to the center of the ring but AJ uses his good leg and kicks Roode off. AJ then uses the ropes to pull himself up but Roode grabs him in a Waistlock. AJ shoves him off with a back elbow and connects with the Pele out of nowhere! AJ grabs his knee as he lands and both men are down now. AJ crawls to his corner as Roode looks to be out. As Jarrett realizes Roode won’t be able to get up and AJ will be able to tag in Jarrett climbs into the ring and cuts AJ off from making the tag. Jarrett knocks Hardy off the apron and then pulls AJ back. Hardy climbs into the ring and then knocks Jarrett out of the ring! Hardy tosses Jarrett into the guardrail and the two fight up toward the back as Karen gives chase. Karen rakes Hardy’s back but Hardy continues to beat Jarrett down to the back. In the ring Roode catches AJ with a Half Crab! Roode screams as he pulls back on the hold! AJ fights and crawls and gets to the ropes to break the hold! Roode shows his frustration with AJ being able to kick out. He then charges at AJ in the corner but AJ uses his good leg to kick him as he came charging in! Roode then attempts to charge again but this time AJ sidesteps him! AJ connects with a big Lariat and then a back elbow and yet another clothesline! AJ then hits a Backdrop and sells the knee again. AJ grabs Roode and lifts him up for something on his shoulders but his knee gives way and he falls to his knees and drops Roode. Roode gets back up and nails AJ with the Double-R Spinebuster! Roode grabs AJ and goes for the Payoff but AJ blocks it and counters into an inside cradle! 1…2…3!
Winners: AJ & Hardy via pinfall (inside cradle)
After the match Roode can’t believe that the injured AJ Styles was able to pin him as Taz and Tenay discuss whether AJ can go 30 minutes with Rodoe with an injured leg. Roode attacks AJ on the ropes with a barrage of punches. Roode then springs off the ropes but AJ catches him with a Superman Punch that sends Roode crashing through the ropes to the floor! AJ then dives over the top with a Slingshot Plancha onto Roode! AJ sells the leg again as he lands and Taz questions the intelligence of doing a dive like that with the injured leg. AJ limps up the ramp giving chase to Roode as he tries to get away. Roode runs through the tunnel and AJ turns around poses to the fans. AJ screams “your next World Heavyweight Champ” as his music hits! Roode comes from out of nowhere and chop blocks the leg of AJ!
Roode drags AJ onto the stage and slams the leg into the stage hard. Roode then screams “3 DAYS AJ!” as he grabs AJ’s leg and slams it into some scaffolding on the stage. Roode picks up the title and holds it in AJ’s face and screams, “YOU SEE THIS?! IT’S MINE! YOU CAN’T HAVE IT BECAUSE YOU CAN’T BEAT ME!”
FINAL THOUGHTS
Up and down show tonight again but closed out REALLY hot. The build towards Final Resolution has been lukewarm at best. The only plus is the top matches have been built towards really well (AJ-Roode, Storm-Angle, Hardy-Jarrett) but the problem is that the rest of the card wasn’t really built up well. They failed to follow up on the great promo that Kash/Aries had last week and that’s been how it’s been over the last month with a few matches getting hyped every week and the next week a couple of different matches are hyped. Then again how many times do we complain that they are shoving too many things into a 2 hour show every week so you can’t really fault TNA for wanting to slow the pace every week and maybe this is just simply what they have to do going forward.
The opening promo was solid with Sting and Roode, they’re doing a great job of making Roode look like the biggest ass on the planet.
Abyss-Joe had some good action while it lasted and Joe actually looked strong in the match before he got screwed over by Immortal. TNA, would you please do something with Joe already?
Mickie-Madison was a decent little match as those two typically work well together.
The Tag Teams promo really didn’t do much for me and they continue the Devon’s kids storyline which is obviously leading toward a Pope heel turn (which I’m FINE with completely). I just don’t know what this is really going to benefit at all.
I continue to care nothing about the Bischoff drama, though I did love the sight of that Garett being Piledrove onto the concrete. Sadly I get the feeling that he’ll do his best John Cena impression and be back next week like nothing happened.
Kim-Traci was just there for storyline purposes to have Traci get a measure of revenge on an unsuspecting Gail but it did nothing for Gail at all going into her PPV match.
Great, great, great TV Main Event. That really was a solid match. They went old school tag wrestling there with the heels catching the AJ injury and singling him out for the majority of the match and really working that knee over. AJ comes off looking great and like the guy that just won’t quit while Roode got his heat back by further “injuring” the leg after the match. It also gives them an out for the match with AJ’s injury “costing” him the match so AJ still looks strong while Roode keeps the belt.
That along with the EXCELLENT James Storm-Angle promo were the highlights of the show. Storm really was awesome in that promo and Angle was excellent as well. He didn’t attempt to overshadow the younger Storm and they fed off each other nicely. Boy this feud could be really good if we get some length here.
On paper Final Resolution looks like a really strong card, not a ton of matches (7 rather than the usual 9) and some great potential matchups (Roode-AJ, Storm-Angle, Jarrett-Hardy, Aries-Kash, RVD-Daniels, and Mickie-Gail). The build has just been a little lackluster at times.
Tonight’s recap was up a little late and I apologize about that, I was with family watching the College Football Awards (ROLL TIDE!) so I was a little late in starting to watch Impact Wrestling. By the way, I will be handling the live recapping of TNA’s PPV this Sunday both here on Wrestleview.com and on Twitter and Facebook on Wrestleview’s official Twitter (www.Twitter.com/wrestleview) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Wrestleviewcom). Make sure if you’re not able to catch the PPV live to follow along all night.
