Sting says he is the Stinger and he’s going to put the Scorpion on Flair, Scorpion Death Drop him, throw him off the top rope, make his life a living hell. Sting tells to take his robe off so they can do this thing right now. Sting wants to do this thing right now and takes his jacket off. In the back Karen Angle is looking at a big picture of her when Traci walks in. Karen asks where she’s been and Traci says she hates Karen. Karen says she’s brought class to the Knockouts and she should be thankful she’s not living in a barn like a cow. She also says Traci shoulder cover her boobs up. Traci asks if she’s jealous but Karen says she doesn’t have to be jealous and she doesn’t walk around like a dime ho. She says she has one job for Karen and that job is to go get the Knockouts and bring them to her.

——————————-COMMERCIAL BREAK————————————

Karen is with the Knockouts in the back and Madison tells her she loves what she’s done with her office. Karen says the little game Mickie has had going on with Winter is over. Mickie says she gets a rematch but Karen says she doesn’t, she’s done. Karen says there will be three matches over the next 3 weeks called the Queens Qualifying Matches, Madison then puts her crown on Karen. Karen says it will be Mickie James vs. Brooke Tessmacher, Tara vs. Madison Rayne, and tonight Velvet Sky vs. Angelina Love. The winners of the matches will face Winter at Bound for Glory for the Knockouts Title in a Fatal 4-Way. The rest of the Knockouts leave but Madison stays behind and tells her how happy she is for Karen to be leading the Knockouts.

In the ring Fortune members AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, and James Storm introduce the NEW #1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Title: Bobby Roode. The BFG Series winner is all smiles as he makes his way down to the ring. AJ says as a former Heavyweight Champion it is a privilege to acknowledge what Roode did at No Surrender. He says Roode scratched and clawed his way to a win as a “Next World Champ” chant starts. AJ acknowledges the chant and says they are right and that’s exactly what Roode is. He says Roode earned the right to Main Event Bound for Glory and there is no doubt in their mind or the fans minds that Roode is the next World Heavyweight Champion. Roode and AJ hug and then AJ hands the microphone over to Daniels.

Daniels says he’s done a lot of things in his career, like beating a former World Champion in this very ring (AJ), so he can appreciate what a feather in the cap it is for Roode to win the BFG Series and the way he won it against Bully Ray. He says that win was inspiring…just as inspiring as the night he beat AJ Styles in Huntsville, Alabama. Daniels says Roode has to keep his focus on the World Title and get through that final hurdle. Daniels says they believe in him but Roode has to believe in himself…the same way Daniels believed he could beat AJ. An “AJ” chant starts now.

Kazarian says when Fortune first started last year, they made a pact and that pact was they were family and no matter what they would have each other’s back. Kazarian says no matter who’s came into TNA and left TNA Fortune has done more to build this company than anyone else. Kazarian says collectively they all strive for greatness but individually they all have goals as well. Kazarian says this past Sunday Roode accomplished one of his and he doesn’t blow smoke, but there is nobody on this roster that deserves to be World Champion more than Roode. He says it’s a privilege to call Roode his brother and friend and then the two hug.

James Storm is up next and calls Roode “1/2 of Beer Money and future World Heavyweight Champion” and says that has a pretty nice ring to it. Storm says TNA had no idea what they wanted to do with them so they put them together and they made it work. He says all the nights they’ve rode the roads together the whole time listening to Roode talk on the phone with his kids telling them he wouldn’t be home, it all pays off at Bound for Glory. Storm says he’s not going to sit here and lie to him, he wishes it was Storm, but Roode is his brother and if it can’t be Storm he’s glad it’s Roode. Storm says all he has to say now is, “Kurt Angle…SORRY ‘BOUT YO DAMN LUCK!”

Kurt Angle’s music hits and he comes out to the ring. Angle says all of the Fortune members are right and Roode clawed and scratched his way to the #1 Contendership and he even did it with an injury and that is awesome. Angle says his question is what is with this “one for all and all for one” crap and asks if they’re the Musketeers or something. Angle asks Fortune if they aren’t the least bit envious of Roode right now and asks if they don’t wish they were in the Main Event of BFG against the greatest Wrestler of all time. Angle looks at AJ and says they have been kicking each others butts for the past 5 years so he knows his competitive spirit so he knows he really wants it. He then looks at Storm and says everyone is in TNA for the same reason and he’s holding it (the World Title). Angle says since they don’t want to tell Roode how they really feel he’ll tell him. Angle says they’re jealous and he’ll prove it. For the next several weeks heading into BFG Roode will face a different member of Fortune every week. Angle says if they have a problem with it they can lie down for Roode if they want to. Angle says if ANY of them beat Roode then they’ll get the next shot at the belt after he beats Roode! Angle says it begins with Kaz tonight! As Angle leaves, smiling, Kazarian and Roode look at each other.

——————————-COMMERCIAL BREAK————————————

In the back Bischoff is on the phone with someone and then he and Angle laugh about booking Roode against Fortune. Bischoff calls it a “gold medal idea.”

Winner: Velvet via pinfall (Beauty-T)

In the back Jeff Hardy walks up to AJ Styles but AJ cuts him off and says now isn’t the time or place. AJ says what bothers him the most is that he’s been in TNA for 9 years nearly killing himself, more matches than anyone else in the company, held every belt in the company, and in one night Jeff Hardy almost destroys the whole thing that he helped build because Jeff is selfish. AJ says he has to feed his family and says Jeff tried to take money from his family. AJ says he’s not doing drugs or drinking, he’s in that ring killing himself trying to make the company something they can appreciate. AJ says he doesn’t think there will be a time or a place for Jeff to be around him, and Jeff puts his head down and walks away as AJ punches a locker.

——————————-COMMERCIAL BREAK————————————

In the back Flair walks up to Hogan and says he’s on top of his game right now. Flair says Sting will have to kill him to get through him and he’s not capable of that. Hogan says he has a Plan B in case something happens but Sting shows up behind them. Sting asks if he’ll let him in on the plan and Sting says the plan tonight is he’ll go through Flair and then go through Hogan. Flair says they don’t need a Plan A or B because they have him.

Tenay & Taz join Crimson “via satellite” and he says he thinks he had the BFG Series wrapped up and he doesn’t know what went through Joe’s mind when he assaulted him. Another Direct Auto Insurance commercial with Kurt Angle, I’m not even touching that joke.

Bobby Roode vs. Kazarian

This is the first match up in Roode’s series of matches against the Fortune members. Both of these two have been in TNA since the early days (Kazarian started in ’03 and Roode in ’04). Interestingly enough they both came into TNA as members of the X-Division. Roode was a part of the first World X-Cup in 2004 as a part of Team Canada. Roode’s chest looks like freaking hamburger meat after that chopfest he had with Bully Ray at No Surrender. Roode and Kaz shake hands and then lockup. Kaz gets Roode in a wristlock but Roode rolls through and counters into a hammerlock. Kaz reverses it into a Side Headlock Takeover. Roode counters with a Head Scissors but both men get to their feet and Roode sweeps Kaz’s legs and gets a one count. Kaz then goes to sweep Roode’s legs but Roode jumps him to avoid it and they stare each other down. They lockup again and this time Kaz gets Roode in a Waistlock but Roode reverses it and then he takes Kaz down and locks in a Front Headlock. Kaz fights to his feet and counters out with a wristlock. Roode counters with an armdrag and they stare each other down again. They lockup again and this time Roode gets Kaz in a wristlock, but Kaz grabs the ropes and uses them to backflip out of the move. Kaz then trips Roode and follows up with the Springboard Guillotine Leg Drop attempt, but Roode rolls out of the way. Roode grabs Kaz’s arm and locks in the wristlock again but Kaz tosses him into the corner. Kaz charges but Roode avoids him and then charges at Kaz, but Kaz ducks through the ropes to the apron causing Roode to crash into the corner. Kaz climbs up top and dives off but Roode avoids him and Kaz lands on his feet. Kaz hits the ropes but Roode leapfrogs him. Kaz then Springboards off the ropes with a Springboard Tornado DDT attempt, but Roode blocks it and hits a Bridging Northern Lights Suplex! 1…2…NO Kaz kicks out! Kaz showing some frustration now. They lockup again and Kaz forces Roode into the corner and then levels Roode with a big forearm smash. Kaz follows up with another one and then a third. Roode gets fired up now and nails Kaz with a series of Forearms of his own. Roode then attempts to whip Kaz into the ropes but Kaz reverses it only to eat a Flying Forearm from Roode! Roode then clotheslines Kaz over the top to the floor! Roode goes out to the floor and grabs Kaz but Kaz shoves him away. Roode shoves him back and Kaz answers with a vicious Forearm Smash! Winner: Roode via submission (Crossface)

In the back Angle shakes his head at the match.

In the ring Roode tries to help Kaz up but he shoves him away. Finally Kaz shakes Roode’s hand and then hugs him. Kaz looks at Roode and says, “YOU are ready.”

——————————-COMMERCIAL BREAK————————————

TNA shows footage from the “Warrior” opening. Heard this was a really good movie but sadly it bombed in the theaters.

In the back Kaz says it got physical and he got pissed because he wants to be in Roode’s position but Roode just proved that he just wrestled a future World Champion. Kaz says they’ll do this again in the future. Roode says he’s been ready for 13 years. He says Kaz is a hell of a wrestler and sometimes brothers fight, but he respects the sh*t out of him. Roode says “damn right I’m ready.”

Earlier Today Austin Aries, holding his new title, says it’s no longer the X-Division, it’s the A-Double Division because he’s a step above everyone else. He says next week A-Double makes his first title defense (against Jesse Sorensen). Also, next week Roode goes one-on-one with Daniels and Mickie James faces Tessmacher in the next Queen’s Qualifier. Also, Bully Ray & Jerry Lynn faces RVD & Mr. Anderson.

In the back Jerry Lynn says RVD is so gullible and he says he’s been getting RVD DQ’d for weeks and he maybe would have figured it out before if it wasn’t for that smoke filled brain. Lynn says RVD is only going to get a taste next week of what he’ll get at BFG. Ray says he really doesn’t care about RVD because he’s been beating him up for 15 years, but Mr. Anderson sticks his nose in his business entirely too much. Ray says he’s sick of Anderson’s face, his voice, and him just sucking in general and he’ll put an end to it. Ray tells Lynn to take care of RVD and he’ll take care of Anderson. Lynn says he’ll bash RVD’s brains right the hell in and then giggles very creepily.

Main Event

They lockup again and this time Flair gets Sting in a wristlock and then he slams Sting to the mat by his hair, but Sting nips up to his feet and runs Flair into the corner. They break clean and then lockup again and Flair gets Sting in a side headlock but Sting reverses into a hammerlock. Flair is able to counter with a drop toe hold and then Flair transitions into a headlock. Sting counters into a Hammerlock again. Flair gets to the ropes to break the hold. Sting argues with the referee and while he does it Flair low blows him. Flair steps on Sting’s head and then he nails Sting with the Knife Edge Chops. Sting shrugs them off and tosses Flair into the corner and mounts him with right hands. Sting whips Flair into the corner and goes for the Stinger Splash, but Flair side steps it and then chop blocks Sting’s legs. Flair trips Sting again and goes for the Figure Four and locks it in! Sting fights the hold while Flair uses the ropes for extra leverage as the referee was asking Sting if he wants to tap. Sting’s shoulders touch the mat and Flair gets a nearfall on it. Sting starts beating his chest as the fans get behind him and then he turns the hold over reversing it. Flair is able to get to the ropes and break it. Flair starts putting the boots to Sting’s leg again. Flair hangs Sting’s leg up in the ropes and puts the boots to it again and then he chops away at Sting. Sting gets fired up as Flair whips him into the ropes and chops him again. Flair then pokes Sting in the eyes. Hogan hands Sting a pair of brass knuckles. Sting turns around and Flair blasts him with the knucks! 1…2…NO Sting kicks out! Flair goes nuts and then starts chopping Sting again. Sting goes nuts now and starts beating on Flair in the corner. He hits the Stinger Splash and then locks in the Scorpion Death Lock! Flair taps!

Winner: Sting via submission (Scorpion Death Lock)

After the match Sting and Hogan stare each other down.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Before I talk about the rest of the show, I have to start with the Main Event. That was just a mess. Flair is in NO shape to be wrestling and shame on TNA for even allowing it. There is no need for it at this point. Flair offers a ton to the company just by being a mouthpiece for some young wrestler. Him being in the ring does nothing for either TNA or Flair. Now we’re starring down the barrel of possibly Sting vs. Hogan?! If there is any other person that needs to be in the ring any less than Flair it’s Hogan. I don’t want to see it and I don’t care how big of a fan of Hogan you are, you shouldn’t want to see it either. This dude just had spinal surgery how long ago? Forget the fact that there is no way that match can be entertaining, it’s too dangerous to put on.

Now as for the rest of the show I thought it was a solid show for the most part. The opening segment between Sting and Flair was short and sweet.

The Mixed Tag was a mess and Pope and Devon, while they’ve worked together decently so far, I have no desire to see them as a team.

The Fortune promo was excellent and very well done, and I love Angle’s involvement. His character trying to get into the young gun’s head is perfect and the way he’s doing it is perfect, making Roode face his buddies but then also planting in that jealousy seed. Also, Daniels kept the thing with AJ going by continuously mentioning his win over AJ a couple of weeks ago.

Kaz-Roode was excellent, a very good match.

Velvet-Angelina was just kind of there.

Joe-Morgan was another solid match and glad to see Joe get the win. I just don’t understand why you have him lose clean at the PPV, a DQ I could understand. You don’t want the guy you’re building up to be a killer to lose clean right off the bat.

I think when you bring up a very personal thing like Hardy’s drug issues you are potentially crossing a line (no pun intended), but I also feel like TNA HAS to cross that line at this point. It was seen by all TNA fans and with the internet now everyone knew what happened so they have to acknowledge it. The stuff with AJ and Devon was really interesting because both seemed very heartfelt and you know that AJ’s was at least halfway how he really felt. I’m just unsure where they’ll go with all of this.

As far as BFG goes I think we get Roode/Angle, Sting/Angle (if they go through with it as it’s been rumored that they’ve decided to nix it), RVD/Lynn, Aries/Kendrick, Joe/Crimson (and maybe Morgan thrown in there, Monsters Ball?), AJ/Daniels, Knockouts, and Ray/Anderson. Maybe another match or two added as well.
