To follow up on our report on Sunday in regards to TNA Wrestling losing TV in the UK with the Bravo network officially shutting down effective January 1, 2011, Sky (which owns Bravo, Bravo+1 and Bravo 2 after the acquisition of Virgin Media) stated they would be consolidating “most” programming into other Sky channels. Digital Spy later reported that shows expected to be preserved include TNA Wrestling. However, no other details were announced. The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter reported that while WWE could claim exclusivity rights with their programming airing on that network, it isn’t likely that it would hold up in the European Union and that if they were to put pressure on Sky to not air TNA then they couldf ace being dropped. The UK market remains TNA’s strongest market in the world.
