Ring of Honor announced on Wednesday that they would be returning to the Hammerstein Ballroom venue in New York City for their Final Battle PPV on December 2. This will be the first ROH event at the Hammerstein since the War of the Worlds iPPV in May 2014. ROH ceased running the Hammerstein after that event due to issues with the venue where Hammerstein wanted ROH to use and pay for their production equipment and staff, instead of ROH’s own production team. ROH began running the Terminal 5 venue beginning with the Final Battle 2014 PPV up until last month in New York City, but excessive fan complaints about the venue from a sight-line standpoint led ROH to begin and eventually complete negotiations with the Hammerstein Ballroom in recent weeks to return to the venue with a long-term deal going into 2017 that is said to be good for both parties.
