Former ROH Champion Davey Richards issued the following statement via Facebook on Sunday morning confirming his departure from the company and that he will not be appearing at the Final Battle event.
“With a heavy heart I can announce I announce that myself and ROH have parted ways for good and I will not be at Final Battle. Please continue to support them and the incredible talent they have. Thanks for the memories. It was an amazing ride.”
Richards later wrote on Twitter that it was the decision of ROH to not have him at Final Battle.
To clarify, it was ROH offices decision to not have me at Finall Battle. Not mine or any other company’s.

Richards, teaming with another ROH star Eddie Edwards, took part in a tryout with WWE at a recent NXT television taping in Florida and has spent time at the new WWE Performance Center. As reported on Saturday, neither Richards or Edwards have been offered official contracts from WWE. Richards pulled out of a tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH due to a neck injury. Both Richards and Edwards were scheduled for the 12/14 ROH Final Battle event in New York City in what was scheduled to be their final appearance with the company.
