AEW star Dante Martin of Top Flight suffered a broken leg or ankle during The Reach for The Sky Ladder Match that took place at Friday night’s ROH Supercard of Honor pay-per-view at the Galen Center Los Angeles, CA.
Martin and Penta El Zero M were on top of a ladder. When Penta hit a Destroyer off the bridge of the ladder, it sent both men crashing to the floor. This is when it appeared that Martin’s leg or ankle snapped. Martin looked to be in severe pain and he was clutching his leg and ankle. Officials and medical staff quickly attended to Martin. Fans in attendance reported that Martin was taken away from the ring area on a stretcher.
The injury is being compared to what Sid Vicious did on the January 14, 2001 episode of WCW Monday Nitro, when landed wrong off the top rope attempting a drop kick on Scott Steiner.
