Major League Wrestling announced on their website Friday they have signed LA Park, best known for his time in WCW, to take on Pierre Carl Ouellet, better known as PCO at the company’s Fury Road TV taping scheduled for October 4 at Melrose Ballroom in New York.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider is reporting this match is a result of Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix pulling out of the show amid rumors about the brothers’ long term future with MLW in addition to WWE showing interesting in signing both men. Pentagon Jr. and Fenix are currently under contracts with Lucha Underground.

This match replaces the originally scheduled Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix vs. LA Park & El Hijo de LA Park bout. Due to circumstances beyond our control, Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix will not be able to attend the October 4 show. With fans demanding an LA Park vs. PCO encounter, matchmakers quickly moved to sign the new match.
LA Park, who competed in MLW 2002-03, returns to MLW this fall and this time he’s bringing his protégé and son, El Hijo de LA Park.
PCO smashed his way through the competition in his MLW debut in July with MLW CEO Court Bauer recently revealing the “French Canadian Frankenstein” would be a regularly featured wrestler on MLW cards this fall.
In a battle of two heavyweight brawlers, fans can anticipate a wild encounter in New York City October 4th!
