Jeff Jarrett appearing for ICW
Insane Championship Wrestling(ICW) has announced via their Twitter account, that TNA Founder and recent WWE Hall of Fame inductee Jeff Jarrett will be appearing for the promotion for one night only on July 29th in Glasgow, Scotland. He will be serving as their commissioner for the night.
Jarrett recently announced that Global Force Entertainment had signed a content distribution deal with FITE TV. Part of the deal was to “develop sports and entertainment programming on the streaming platform”. ICW has a working relationship with FITE TV already in place, but further collaboration is certainly possible in the future.
Jarrett will be appearing for night two of “SHUG’S HOOSE PARTY” in Glasgow. Tickets are still available for the event, which you can purchase here.
Mae Young Classic star appearing in BBC documentary
ICW has also announced on their Twitter account that their reigning Women’s Champion, and inaugural Mae Young Classic competitor Kimberly Benson, better known as either Viper or Piper Niven, will be at the center of a new BBC documentary titled “Fight Like a Girl”, which will air on Monday, June 11th.
This will be great exposure for not only Benson, but also for women’s wrestling as a whole in the United Kingdom, where wrestling has maintained a strong, loyal following. The documentary will be thirty minutes, and will focus on her daily life in the business.
