Like Scarface “Guess Who’s Back”?! I’m back from a one week hiatus and we are kicking things off tonight with a recap from last week including the drama between Mr. Anderson and Jeff Hardy and Sting and RVD.
From the arena Tenay and Taz hype up the Slammiversary Main Event and then hype up the card for tonight that Tenay says is “loaded with intrigue”. Jay Lethal will be facing AJ Styles and Kazarian in a Three Way Dance and Tenay questions if AJ and Kaz are on the same page after they were both vying for Flair’s attention last week. Sting’s music hits and the #1 Contender makes his way out to the ring.
Sting says that not everything is as it seems and that might be a little ironic coming out of his mouth but there is a lot of smoke and mirrors going on in TNA. Sting says it’s almost like everything has gone a little Hollywood. Sting says what seems to be black is really white and what seems to be white is really black. He says that’s okay with him because if you’ve followed his career then you know he’s been here and you know that he’s been labeled the ‘atagonist’ (history lesson: remember back in WCW when the nWo was running all over the place they brought out a fake Sting and made every one believe that Sting had turned on WCW which in turn caused the fans and the WCW guys to turn on him). Sting says his been to that place where his name and his word and his reputation are on the line and that it wouldn’t do him any good to give some kind of explanation. Sting also says he doesn’t owe an explanation but he promises that there is meaning behind his actions. Sting looks at the camera and says that these meanings will be known by all of those involved as well as the fans. Sting then turns his attention to RVD and Slammiversary. Sting says Dixie, Hogan, and Bischoff wanted change so there will be some change. A big “why Sting why” chant starts now. Sting says he doesn’t know RVD well but he’s just in the wrong place, wrong time. Sting says “no hard feelings Robby” but at Slammiversary when he takes the title the veil will be pulled back and everyone’s true colors will be exposed. The lights then go out and replays of Sting demolishing Jeff Jarrett, Eric Bischoff, and RVD are shown.
Eric Bischoff then walks through the tunnel with Ms. Tessmacher and he says to put the spotlight on Sting. Bischoff is limping out with the help of a crutch. Bischoff says Sting talks about true colors and smoke & mirrors but we just saw Sting’s true colors on that screen. Bischoff says he’s known Sting for 20 years and it hurts him to say what he’s about to Sting because Sting is not the man he thought he knew. Bischoff says he thinks Sting has been trying to convince people that he is some kind of superhero that he has started to believe it himself. Bischoff calls Sting a fraud and says that he is just a man hiding behind a mask and hiding up in the rafters to avoid the truth. Bischoff says superheroes don’t use baseball bats on people nor do they put their hands around the throat of a women who has given them a 2nd chance at a career. Bischoff says whatever issues Sting has it’s his problem and it has nothing to do with TNA and he has no idea why Sting has a problem with he or Hogan. Bischoff says Sting puts himself in front of everything including TNA and the guys in TNA and that’s the difference between he and Hogan and Sting (boy at that irony). Bischoff says that’s not what they’re about and they put the company the fans first. Bischoff says the fans want to see Sting in action and that’s what they’ll get and that action will start right now. A huge “Joe’s gonna kill you” chant starts and Samoa Joe appears behind Sting! Bischoff tells Sting that his opponent is standing right behind him!
Sting turns around and Joe punches shim in the face!
“The Icon” Sting vs. “Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe
These two definitely have history. It was Sting who took the TNA World Title off of Joe two years ago at Bound for Glory. Joe throws Sting into the corner and then nails him with repeated jabs and kicks in the corner. Joe chokes Sting now and screams at him. Matt Morgan shows up out of nowhere and attacks Joe.
Winner: NO CONTEST
Morgan chokes Joe while Sting puts the boots to him and then RVD’s music hits! The Champ makes his way out to the ring and knocks Morgan out of the ring with a spinning heel kick as Sting bails out to the floor. RVD then this a Flying Side Kick off the top on Morgan. Bischoff walks back out and says this isn’t over. Bischoff says this match will continue later on tonight in a Tag Team Match! It will be Samoa Joe teaming up with RVD to face Sting and Matt Morgan! RVD grabs a microphone and says he thinks Eric should make it a Four Way Dance instead! Bischoff says that would be one hell of a match but he doesn’t have that kind of authority and he has to check with Hogan.
Hulk Hogan’s music hits and he makes his way out to the stage! Hogan grabs the microphone and says since RVD won the title he has raised the bar sky high in TNA. He says since RVD is the champ he gets some stroke because when you’re the man it comes with a lot of stroke. Hogan agrees to the match! Joe says something to RVD and then walks out of the ring.
——————-COMMERCIAL BREAK———————
Back from commercials Christy Hemme is in AJ Styles lockerrom and asks him what’s bothering him. Styles says his pissed off because he just found out he’s in a 3-way with Kaz and Lethal. Flair walks in and AJ asks Flair why he didn’t tell him he was in the 3-Way tonight. Flair asks AJ if he looks like his secretary. Kaz walks in now and thanks Flair for helping him out and says he will make him proud tonight. Flair says they’ll both make him proud tonight because it’ll be the end of Lethal. Kaz holds out a Rolex and thanks Flair for giving it to him as they walk out of the ring and AJ looks out with a “what the hell was that” look on his face.
Rosie Lotta-Love vs. Roxxi
Rosie is apparently a new knockout and she is the girl that severely injured Daffney in a accident a few weeks back. They actually show replays of the injury. She is a large woman and is wearing very revealing ring gear. This is Roxxi’s 2nd match in TNA since here return from injury. Rosie tries for a lockup with Roxxi but Roxxi shoots underneath her and locks in a hammerlock. Roxxi transitions into a Side Headlock but Rosie pushers her off and then hits her with a big Shoulder Block followed by another. Rosie grabs Roxxi and hits a Spinning Scoop Slam and then whips her into the corner. Rosie goes for a Running Hip Attack in the corner but Roxxi moves and nails Rosie with a series of forearms. Roxxi hits a dropkick but Rosie still doesn’t go down. Roxxi hits the ropes but Madison Rayne hits her in the back with the Knockouts Title as the referee was looking at Rosie! Rosie asks Madison what she’s doing and looks to not want to win that way. She bends over to grab Roxxi but Roxxi rolls her up in a small package! 1…2…3!
Winner: Roxxi via pinfall (small package)
After the match Madison gets in the ring to get in Rosie’s face for not beating Roxxi. She says that she handed Rosie the match but she still couldn’t win. Rosie grabs Madison and lifts her up in a Chokeslam! Jeramy Borash meets Rosie on the ramp and Rosie says the Beautiful People thinks they can come out and “take us out every ugly person at a time” but Rosie Lotta-Love is big, bad, and beautiful. Rosie says she will take every one of the Beautiful People out at the same time because she’s a “Lotta-Love”. She then kisses JB and walks off! Taz hilariously says “JB got lucky! It finally happened!”
——————-COMMERCIAL BREAK———————
Three Way Dance
“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles w/Ric Flair vs. Kazarian vs. Jay Lethal
This is a throwback to the X-Division’s golden days. AJ and Kaz had some classics together back in the day and Lethal is also a former champ. Kaz says something to AJ so AJ says “okay you know what, you handle it” and leaves the ring and stands at ringside for Kaz to wrestle Lethal in the ring. Lethal rolls Kaz up quickly and gets a one count. Kaz immediately gets to his feet and goes for a clothesline, but Lethal ducks and then hits a Springboard Cross Body! 1…2…NO Lethal kicks out! Lethal lights Kaz up with chops and rights and then he whips Kaz into the corner. Lethal follows up with a Hip Toss followed by the Cartwheel into the Sliding Dropkick attempt but AJ cut him off as he went for the dropkick with a clothesline. Perfect timing by the Phenomenal One. AJ whips Lethal into the corner and then screams “this is how it’s done, Ric” and goes for a Flying Forearm in the corner, but Lethal moves out of the way! Lethal nails AJ with a series of rights and then he attempts to whip AJ into the corner, but AJ reverses it. AJ goes for a Forearm Smash but Lethal slides underneath his legs and then hits a Spinning Head Scissors Takeover! Lethal goes for the Lethal Combination but Kaz comes out of nowhere with a dropkick to Lethal! AJ and Kaz continue to argue and then Lethal goes for a clothesline on Kaz but Kaz ducks and Lethal nails AJ! Kaz hits Lethal from behind and goes for a Back Suplex but Lethal blocks it. Lethal puts Kaz in a Side Headlock and then hits a Running Bulldog on Kaz while hitting a clothesline on AJ at the same time! Lethal covers AJ, 1…2…NO AJ kicks out! Lethal covers Kaz and gets a nearfall as well. Lethal with chops o both guys and then he charges at AJ but AJ backdrops him over the top rope. Lethal lands on the apron and then blocks a right hand from AJ and hits one of his own. Lethal follows up with a Shoulderblock through the ropes and then goes for a Slingshot move but Kaz pushes AJ out of the way and nails Lethal with a Diamond Cutter in midair! 1…2…NO Lethal kicks out! Kaz and AJ argue somemore and then AJ shoves Kaz out of the way and nails Lethal with a nasty Backbreaker. They argue more and Kaz tells AJ to watch this. Kaz picks Lethal up and whips him into the ropes and hits a Hiptoss into a freaking Neckbreaker! It’s like they’re playing “who can hit the cooler moves”. Kaz says “that’s cool” and AJ tells him he still sucks. AJ and Kaz are about to whip Lethal into the ropes together but start arguing again which allows Lethal to come back and nail them both with big right hands. Lethal hits a dropkick on AJ and then kicks Kaz. Lethal walks over to AJ who hits the Nip-up Hurricanrana! It’s been like 3 years since I’ve seen AJ break that one out! AJ screams at Kaz and tells Ric that he’s ‘got this.’ AJ tells Kaz to do a suplex with him. AJ sets up for a Double Vertical Suplex but Kaz wants to do a Double Back Suplex. AJ hits Lethal with a big elbow and then argues with Kaz somemore. AJ throws Lethal into the corner and then goes to the apron and says he’s going to show Kaz how it’s done. AJ goes for the Springboard Flying Forearm but AJ was springing to the top Kaz leans up against the ropes causing AJ to crash and burn! AJ argues with Kaz and then Lethal comes out of nowhere and shoves AJ into Kaz and rolls AJ up! 1…2…3!
Winner: Lethal via pinfall (rollup)
After the match AJ and Lethal continue to argue as Flair is shocked. Flair grabs a microphone and says that he gave AJ the gift of being his protégé and now he gets beat by Jay Lethal! AJ says it’s because of Kaz and Flair tells him not to make an excuse. Flair says AJ has lost the belt and he’s confused and unfocused. Flair tells AJ he needs to go home and look in the mirror and decide what he wants to be because he’s not in Flair’s good graces. Flair says he’s done it and now AJ needs to do it, go home and find himself and then call him. AJ leaves the ring and Flair tells him not to drop the ball. Flair tells some ‘fat boy’ at ringside to shut his mouth as AJ leaves. Kurt Angle’s music hits as AJ’s walking up the ramp!
Kurt stares AJ down and AJ gets in his face. AJ shakes his head and then says “this (pointing at the ring) and now you” and he shakes his head and walks off. Kurt walks down to the ring!
——————-COMMERCIAL BREAK———————
Angle says he came out to show Kazarian his proper respect…before he makes him Kurt’s first victim! Kurt says he likes his opponent to know what he’s going to do to them before he does it. Kurt mentions how he gave up his #2 ranking and unfortunately Kaz is ranked #10 and Kurt says he did earn it. Kurt says at Slammiversary Kaz’s a** is his! Flair asks Kurt if he realizes that he just walked by him without even saying anything. Flair says he and Kurt have a lot of history and that he came to Kurt when he first started in the business and told Kurt that he wanted his youngest son, Reid, to be just like Kurt. Flair says he took his pride and joy and put him on the phone with Kurt and told Kurt to make him a man. Flair says Kurt told him would be glad to and Flair mentions that his son respects Kurt more than anyone. Flair also says no one else has caught on to this business from the amateur scene like Kurt has. Flair says this isn’t amateur wrestling and now we’re talking about ‘his world’. Flair says he will always be 10 times as pro what Kurt was as a amateur. He says he is in the eyes of the fans and the other wrestlers he is a god. Flair holds up his ring and says that he’ll show Kurt his medal. Flair says he needs Shawn Michaels respect, Hulk Hogan’s respect, Sting’s respect, and he needs that same respect from Kurt. Flair tells Kurt to hit the bricks until he decides to show him the proper respect. Flair actually tells Kurt to bow to him! Priceless! Flair says he’s been champion more times than Kurt’s been down with different women. Flair then tells Kurt not to make him take off his sports coat…WOOOOO. Kurt starts to leave the ring but Flair stops him and says he has a better idea. Flair says he’ll leave first instead just so Kurt knows where he’s at in his world, so Ric will leave first and Kurt can hold the ropes for him. Flair tells Kurt to hold his ropes and Kurt does it! Flair walks through the ropes and then Kurt grabs him and tosses him off the ramp!
Kaz attacks Angle from behind! Kaz throws Angle back into the ring. Angle answers back with right hands and knocks Kaz out of the ring! Flair gets back on the ramp and throws his coat at Angle. Angle throws it back so Flair stomps on it! They scream back and forth at each other as Tenay says Kaz vs. Angle is official!
In the back Morgan approaches Sting and says he knows people don’t trust him, but he can trust that Morgan wants to win the World Title. Morgan says they can come together as a team tonight and work together but Sting just walks away without saying anything.
——————-COMMERCIAL BREAK———————
In the parking lot AJ is pissed and punches the wall. AJ mumbles to himself that he is the best wrestler in the world and says ‘I got to kill Jay Lethal, that’s what I got to do’. He says at Slammiversary that’s what he has to do.
A video package hyping up Anderson and Hardy’s short history together.
In the ring Christy Hemme is standing with a microphone. She welcomes her guest who has a big announcement to make for Slammiversary, Mr. Anderson! Mr. Anderson makes his way out to the ring. Anderson checks out Christy as he gets in the ring and then says he was really looking forward to having a great interview with her tonight but he seems to be distracted at the moment as he stares at Christy’s lovely chest. Taz says that’s shades of Joe Namath (Roll Tide!) and Anderson keeps staring at Christy’s boobs as she pushes his head away every time. Anderson apologizes and Christy turns away so he can’t see her chest so Anderson stares at her finer assets (she really does have an awesome…well you know) and she says “really?” Anderson says that doesn’t make him a chauvinist or a pig but asks if it makes him an a**hole and Christy says it sure does. Well, then you might as well call me an a**hole, baby! Anderson takes the microphone and says everyone that just called him a a**hole is a hypocrite because they’re all just sitting there begging and hoping for a wardrobe malfunction from Christy (yep)! Anderson says so that makes everyone of the fans a**holes too! A big “we are a**holes” chant starts. Anderson says this is going to be a censors nightmare. Anderson gets back to his big announcement and that announcement is that at Slammiversary Beer Money had blanks next to their names for opponents so he stepped up to the plate, but he can’t do it by himself. Anderson says it’s “just not a party without Jeffrey Nero freakin’ Hardy”! Jeff’s music hits and the Charismatic Enigma makes his way out to the ring!
Jeff grabs the microphone and then daps it up with Hardy (or as my little cousin says, “gives him knuckles”). Hardy says he knows everyone is asking why he would team with Anderson. Hardy says that Anderson is the funniest a**hole he’s ever met and out of all the guys in TNA Anderson is the craziest S.O.B. other than himself. Hardy says all his creatures of the night are inviting to Slammiversary for their party with Beer Money! Anderson says in addition to being an a**hole he is also a cheap a**hole so it’s B.Y.O.B. (bring your own beer). Beer Money’s music hits! Well, it looks like the Beer is being brought.
Beer Money comes out to the ring, Cowboy with beer bottle in hand. Roode says it’s just so cute, TNA’s newest “B.F.F.’s”, Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson…Anderson. Roode asks Jeff and Anderson what either one of them know about tag team wrestling which Jeff laughs at (yeah dumb question Robbie). Roode says Jeff had a little cup of tea earlier on his career with his brother but let’s face it Matt carried Jeff the entire time and they sucked anyway so that doesn’t count. Roode says tag team isn’t about looking cool or being cool, it’s not about being friend in and out of the ring, it’s about much more than that. He says it’s being like brothers and putting your egos aside and putting the team first. Roode says Jeff and Anderson are a mismatch. He says Jeff is a moron and Anderson is an a**hole. He says they’re like oil and water…or Lacey Von Erich and that perverted little midget from last week (I’m still having nightmares about that one). Roode says in all seriousness what makes them think that they can compete with Beer Money at Slammiversary. Anderson says this may be a little off subject but why is Roode’s hair always freaking wet (oh my God, that is priceless). Anderson points at Cowboy and asks James why he’s always wearing sunglasses. Anderson says the only men that wear sunglasses inside are blind men and jackoffs. Taz says he takes exception to that (I spit out Pepsi right there). Storm mocks Anderson and says he’s Mr. Funny man not Mr. Anderson. Storm says he does a little standup comedy act himself and then punches Anderson in the mouth!
Beer Money jumps Hardy & Anderson and the beatdown is on! They brawl all over the ring until security runs out to pull them apart. Tenay says Jeff Hardy will face James Storm one-on-one next and Anderson vs. Roode is later!
——————-COMMERCIAL BREAK———————
“Cowboy” James Storm vs. “Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy
Back from commercials Storm and Hardy are still brawling around ringside! Storm attempts to whip Jeff into the guardrail but Jeff reverses it! Jeff throws James into the ring steps now and then Jeff tries to throw James into the ring post. Storm blocks it but eats a clothesline from Jeff as he turns around. Jeff pulls up the mats at ringside and Hip Tosses Storm onto the concrete! Hardy rolls Storm back into the ring and then goes for a Shoulderblock through the ropes but Storm kicks him in the chest and then hits a Hanging DDT as Jeff was tied up in the ropes! 1…2…NO Jeff kicks out! Storm takes off his shirt now and chokes Jeff with it and then he stands on Jeff’s head as he’s laying over the bottom rope! Storm rolls out to the floor and kicks Jeff in the head as he was still laying across the ropes! 1…2…NO Jeff kicks out again! Storm has Jeff in a Headlock now but Jeff gets to his feet and fights it off with back elbows. Jeff hits the ropes but Storm nails him with a back elbow and then he ducks a clothesline from Jeff and connects with a Gutbuster followed by a Rock Bottom Sideslam. 1…2…NO Jeff kicks out! Storm rolls out to the floor and grabs a chair and throws it into the ring! The referee stops Storm from using it so Storm goes for a Scoop Slam, but Jeff blocks it and then connects with a Jawbreaker! Hardy and Storm exchange right hands now and then Storm comes off the ropes but Jeff nails him with a clothesline followed by another one and then a Back Elbow. Jeff throws Storm into the corner and then sets the chair up and dives off of it with the Poetry In Motion! 1…2…NO Storm kicks out! Jeff goes for the Twist of Fate but Storm blocks it and goes for a clothesline. Jeff ducks it and then hits a Sitout Front Suplex! Jeff climbs to the top but Storm crotches him! Storm nails Jeff with an Uppercut and then climbs up to the top as well and goes for a Frankensteiner, but Hardy blocks it and then hits the Whisper in the Wind! 1…2…NO Storm still kicks out! Hardy grabs Storm by the feet but he holds onto the ropes so the referee pulls Jeff off. This allows Storm to reach out and grab his beer and take a swig of it. Storm shoves the referee away and spits it into Jeff’s face! Storm grabs Jeff and hits the Eye of the Storm! 1…2…NO Jeff kicks out still! Storm grabs the chair again and swings it at Hardy but Hardy moves and the chair hits the ropes causing it to snap back and nail Storm in the face! Jeff grabs Storm and hits the Twist of Fate! Jeff climbs to the top and hits the Swanton Bomb! 1…2…3 and Jeff gets the win in an excellent match!
Winner: Hardy via pinfall (Swanton Bomb)
——————-COMMERCIAL BREAK———————
Robert Roode vs. Mr. Anderson
Anderson and Roode lock up in the center of the ring and Roode forces Anderson into the corner. Roode releases it and then swings at Anderson, but Anderson ducks and nails Roode with a right of his own! They lockup again and this time Roode puts Anderson in a side headlock but Anderson shoves him off into the ropes. Roode nails Anderson with a shoulderblock and then goes for an Elbow Drop, but Anderson moves and nails Roode with a jab. Anderson puts Roode in a side headlock of his own and Roode shoves him off but eats a shoulderblock from Anderson. Anderson comes off the ropes and Roode drops down at his feet, Anderson leaps over him and then turns around and hits an Elbow Drop. Roode kicks Anderson as he was mocking him and then follows up with right hands. Anderson comes back with a leg sweep that sends Roode into the ropes hanging him up in them. Anderson then hits a Cannonball-like move on Roode in the ropes and then rolls him up! 1…2…NO Roode kicks out! Roode rolls out to the floor and Anderson follows him. Roode then rolls back into the ring and kicks the ropes as Anderson was getting back in pretty much causing the ropes to nail Anderson’s balls. Roode then follows up with a Hangman’s Neckbreaker! Roode puts the boots to Anderson and then rakes the back of Anderson. Roode lights Anderson up with Flair Chops in the corner. Anderson hits a Snapmare Takeover and then a Rolling Neckbreaker for a nerfall. Roode chokes Anderson on the bottom rope and then puts the boots to him. Roode hits another Snapmare and then locks in a Head vice. Anderson gets to his feet and fights off the hold and then attempts to whip Roode into the ropes, but Roode blocks it and goes for the Spinebuster! Anderson blocks it and goes for the Mic Check! Roode blocks it with back elbows and then comes off the ropes only to eat a backdrop from Anderson! Anderson lifts Roode up for the Green Bay Plunge, but Roode gauges his eyes and then hits a Running Clothesline in the corner! Roode whips Anderson into the opposite corner and charges but eats every bit of Anderson’s boot! Anderson climbs to the top and goes for a Diving Sunset Flip, but Roode blocks it and then sits down on Anderson and holds onto the ropes for leverage! 1…2…3!
Winner: Roode via pinfall
After the match Anderson calls for his microphone and says that any man can be beaten on any given day and he just got beat again, by Bobby Roode again. Anderson says it seems to him that the only way people can beat him is by using underhanded methods and the reason they have to do that is because he is no mere mortal, he is…MR…..ANDERSON……Anderson. Roode says that all he does is talk.
In the back Douglas talks to the camera about the X-Division. He says the art form in Britain is about picking body parts apart but that’s not what these ‘acrobats’ in the X-Division are about which is why he’s in it to show them what it’s about. Williams says he will reeducate them on how to wrestle properly.
——————-COMMERCIAL BREAK———————
“The Freak” Rob Terry & “The Monster” Abyss w/Chelsea vs. “Wild Card” Orlando Jordan & Desmond Wolfe
Good god these are some weird tag teams. The Wolfe and the Fairy, wow. Oh my lord, Jordan is actually carrying out the workout device, the Shaker Weight or whatever which actually makes the women who are using it like they’re doing something else other than working out. That is just special. He’s also got pasties of Rob Terry’s face on his nipples. If it’s even possible, Orlando Jordan has creeped me out even more. Wolfe and Abyss will start the match off and Jordan is still using the Shaker in the corner. Wolfe attacks Abyss and works on that injured arm of Abyss. Abyss shoves him off so Wolfe kicks him in the arm and then throw repeated nasty forearms at the arm. Jordan tags in and hits a Diving Double Axe Handle Drop on that arm. Jordan locks in an Armbar and then rains down right hands on the arm. Jordan comes off the ropes and eats a back elbow (the other arm) from Abyss! Abyss then hits a big Corner Splash and tosses Jordan over the top rope to the floor! Jordan landed at the feet of Chelsea and he starts checking her out. Taz says he thought she wouldn’t be his type (yeah so did I, Taz). He touches Chelsea and she slaps him! Wolfe gets in his face and asks what Jordan’s doing look at his girl. Wolfe then turns to Chelsea and asks why she’s slapping his partner. He then hilariously says “I don’t know if he likes you…or he likes me?!” Oh man I’m dying over that one. Abyss grabs Wolfe and nails him with a big right hand and then tosses him into the guardrail. Terry drags Jordan back into the ring and hits the Freakbuster! 1…2…3 and the Freak & The Monster get the win!
Winner: Terry & Abyss via pinfall (Freakbuster)
A video package hyping up the beef between Ink Inc. and 3D and Devon talks during the package saying that Bubba is taking it wrong because Jesse is doing exactly what they taught him to do.
——————-COMMERCIAL BREAK———————
Back from commercials Jesse Neal is laid out in the back with an Ace card laying on his chest. Last week Moore was laid out.
Non-Title Four Corners Match

Morgan and Joe go at it at the bell in the ring while Sting attacks RVD on the outside! Sting tosses RVD into the ramp while Joe nails Morgan with jabs in the corner. RVD hits a back elbow as Sting came in and hits a Flying Side Kick off the top followed by the Rolling Thunder! 1…2…NO Morgan comes in and breaks it up. Morgan hits a Corner Splash in the corner on Joe followed by a Sidewalk Slam! RVD goes for a Cross Body Block on Morgan but Morgan catches him in midair with a Spinning Sidewalk Slam! Morgan throws RVD into the corner and lights him up with those back elbows. Morgan looks up into the crowd at someone who ducks away. I couldn’t tell who it was but Taz and Tenay think they know. The distraction was enough to allow Joe to nail him in the back with a Leaping Enziguri! Joe lifts Morgan up to the top and hits the Muscle Buster! RVD hits the Flying Sidekick off the top on Joe that sends Joe out to he floor! RVD then hits the 5-Star Frog Splash on Morgan for the pin!
Winner: RVD via pinfall (5 Star Frog Splash)
After the match Joe gets in RVD’s face as we fade to black!
Final Thoughts
Before getting to the show tonight I want to apologize for being M.I.A. last week. I had plans and we thought we had a replacement for me last week but it fell through. Hopefully that won’t happen again.
Back to the show, tonight was damn good from top to bottom for the most part. The opening segment was awesome with Joe showing up behind Sting and then kicking his a** while it lasted.
I can’t really speak on Rossie Lotta-Love right now other than that name is horrible. We didn’t see enough from her in the ring to really know how good or bad she is. At least we’re getting something a little different than the norm with her. She’s kind of in a Bertha Faye gimmick.
Kaz-Lethal-AJ was entertaining as hell, I loved the stuff between AJ and Kaz but I think Flair pretty much punking AJ out at the end made him look very weak. I’m not sure where they’re going with this.
Kaz and Angle should be beyond excellent at the PPV and his promo with Flair was awesome tonight. Flair was on point tonight.
I loved the Anderson-Hardy-Beer Money segment. Hardy and especially Anderson were hilarious and then Beer Money were great as well. The subsequent matches really added to it at as well. We got solid in-ring action and they split the matches which was perfect.
The Tag Match was easily the worst thing tonight. Wolfe is being wasted, Abyss IS a waste, as is Terry, and Jordan just creeps me the hell out.
The Main Event was solid as well tonight and the finish was nice and I love that they didn’t show exactly who the mystery man was but I’m guessing it was “Super Mex” and his return will be in the next week or two. Looks like his tour of Mexico will be up soon (though he is scheduled to remain in AAA until at least the end of June). Joe looked really strong tonight and man would an RVD-Joe feud be AWESOME. The fans really wanted to see that as well. Nice tease with them in there.
