Xtreme Sports and Entertainment’s MMA Unleashed returns to Punta Gorda Saturday November 23, 2013 at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center.
MMA Unleashed which drew a sellout crowd to the Charlotte Harbor and Event Center during its last appearance in June 2013 will feature 9+ brutal ISCF sanctioned bouts with exciting, hard-hitting action. MMA Unleashed is an action packed night of entertainment. Along with thrilling MMA action, MMA Unleashed will also feature a special meet-and-greet with Former WWE World Champion and WWE Hall of Famer “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Also taking place will be fan favorites Iron Spade Tattoo Ring Girls, a Divas Bikini Contest, Big Mama’s Prize Patrol, The BrandSourcePrint.Com Blimp, vendors, a DJ, and much more!
Flair will be part of a very special meet and greet prior to the live event (including a special VIP Q and A session), allowing fans throughout the Sunshine State to have a rare chance to get up close and personal with the Nature Boy. Meet and greet times are starting at 5:30pm for VIP ticket holders and 6:30pm for all others.
One of the most decorated and a legendary figure in the history of professional wrestling, Ric Flair is a sixteen-time World Heavyweight Champion and the only ever two-time WWE Hall of Famer.
World renown as the “Dirtiest Player in the Game”, Flair was the cornerstone of one of the most elite units in professional wrestling history – the Four Horseman. The master of the figure four leglock won championships wherever he traveled and set the bar very high when it came to in-ring performance – as in that regard, he truly had no peers.

All too often we watch Professional Wrestling and forget that the wrestlers in the ring are actually people. We fail to realize that these superhero-like titans have real lives, friends, interests and families outside of the wrestling business. They have the same trials and tribulations that we all do. However, their issues can be even worse b/c they are under constant pressure to perform in front of a worldwide audience. Pro Wrestling is a strange industry with deep rooted comradely, but true friendships are often few and far between leaving some performers empty inside after the final bell rings. This is one of the many things that becomes a challenge for those involved.
Just as in any walk of life, some people will fail and some will flourish! Join us for Wrestling With Disaster as we get inside the minds of some of your favorite stars from the past, present and future. Nothing is held back as we speak to many well known stars such as Kevin Sullivan, Warlord, Fred “Tugboat/Typhoon” Ottman, DLo Brown, “Headbanger Thrasher” Glen Ruth, The Blue Meanie and many more!
One of the most gripping scenes in Wrestling With Disaster unfolded as we followed “The Genius” Lanny Poffo who is the brother of the late “Macho Man” Randy Savage to the tree where Randy died. The raw emotion continued as Lanny read us a poem he penned for his brother and spoke about the last conversation he had with him the night before he died.
