DNIndia.com has reported that the Punjab police suspended The Great Khali(real name Dalip Singh Rana) on Wednesday for taking an “unauthorized leave”. Khali serves as an assistant sub inspector in India. He was on leave until December of 2008 and then applied for a five year “extraordinary leave” that the police officials feel he was not entitled to.
“As per the rule, (Khali) was not entitled to any further leave and there was no option other than to suspend him,” said Punjab police Commandant Arunpal Singh.
