Report: MLP exploring exclusive guaranteed contracts

According to a report from PWInsider, Scott D’Amore’s resurrected Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling is exploring locking several talents into exclusive, guaranteed contracts.

PWInsider insider also notes the main reason MLP is seeking to secure these talents, which are unknown at the time, is they are looking to expand in more markets and hopefully land possible TV deals this year. Furthermore, it was added the belief is MLP wants to secure at least 2 to 3 talents in guaranteed contracts as a start.

All four of the recent MLP events are available on video on demand via TrillerTV.

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling is the successor to Maple Leaf Wrestling, which was a promotion ran by Frank Tunney in Toronto, Ontario, Canada during the 1970’s and 1980’s. Former TNA President Scott D’Amore acquired the trademarks in 2024 and formally announced back on August 8 of that same year, the promotion would be relaunched.

Former WWE and NXT announcer Mauro Ranallo servers as the play-by-play announcer, alongside AEW’s Don Callis who does color-commentary.
