Wrestleview is sad to have learned that ECW original Hunter Q Robbins, III (real name Robin Hunt) has passed away. Other reports indicate he was 57 years old.
Robbins worked mainly as a manager and managed Sabu when he made his debut for the promotion. Robbins also served as a manager for The Super Destroyers and The Suicide Blondes when they had runs as the ECW World Tag Team Champions. In addition, he also managed Jimmy Snuka. Robbins did wrestle at the Battle Royal UltraClash ’93 event, as he teamed up with Snuka to take on Tod Gordon and Davey Boy Smith.
After he left ECW, it is believed Robbins promoted independent events in the Northeast and was also involved in the independent film industry, having directed the short science fiction film Paradox. The film actually won a number of awards at various film festivals in 2024.
At the time of this writing, there is no known cause of death.
Wrestleview sends it’s condolences to the family and friends of Hunter Q. Robbins, III during this difficult and sad time.
