AAA star El Hijo del Vikingo suffered an apparent injury at Sunday’s PROGRESS Chapter 175: Unboxing VII in London, England.
Reports note that during his match against Kid Lykos II, Vikingo landed awkwardly on what was either a code red or sunset flip attempt. The referee then put up the “X” sign, as Vikingo had to be helped to the back. Fans are also reporting Vikingo was favoring his left knee.
During 2024, Vikingo was out of action for seven months with a ruptured ligament and torn meniscus he suffered back in February. Soon after he made his return, which was this past September, he was injured in a match against Trent Seven at the post TNA Wrestling Bound For Glory TV tapings which took place at the Wayne State Fieldhouse back on October 17 in Detroit, MI. That match was stopped early by the referee after Vikingo landed awkwardly on the outside of the ring after performing a diving corkscrew. Viking later announced that he avoided damage to his ligament or muscle. However, he was pulled from a match he had scheduled with Cara Noir at a PROGRESS event that was to be held a few weeks after the TNA tapings.
