Adam Webb passed this along this excerpt from the new Kindle book “The Making of Bloodstained Memoirs” where author David Sinnott is critical of fans of all-female wrestling events.
Commenting on a wrestling show in Paris, France headlined by Christy Hemme (who was just interviewed), Sinnott states:
“The show was held inside a strange looking and cramped venue with a very unique crowd. Whatever way you want to try and spin it – a small bunch of men at an all women’s wrestling show is a very odd environment. On surface value, it just looks as if these people were too shy to go to a strip club. The truth is, if we ended up going to this venue to film there is no way I would have carried on with the shoot. Unless I was presenting wrestling as some sort of freak show or circus act – there is no way any objective reviewer or distributor would take such footage seriously. It would give the impression that wrestling is an event frequented by a small number freaks and outcasts, and it would make the whole production seem like a joke. People who aren’t into wrestling couldn’t give two hoots about wrestling. The last thing you want to do is load the bullets and hand them the gun.”
