Last month it was announced that The Globe Theatre in Los Angeles was ‘closed permanently‘ by Prestige Wrestling, leading to a possible change of venue for the promotion’s upcoming collaborative event with Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling.
This was quickly followed by a retraction, due to what appeared to be a change in plans for the venue to “remain open for years to come.”
The latest update comes from Prestige on social media, revealing that there have been “further complications” with The Globe, leading the promotion to find a new venue entirely for Combat Princess USA and all future shows in the area.
The news of the venue change follows the first details being announced for A Moment of Violence, set for February with Tiger Mask and Mascara Dorada advertised to appear.
Both events will now be taking place at The Vermont Hollywood, marking a return of pro wrestling to the venue following NJPW STRONG’s Detonation tapings in November 2022.
As of time of writing, the status of The Globe, the home of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and other wrestling events over the past five years, is still unclear, with the website still down following the initial announcement of its closure and no new details from any social media accounts.
