Member of the Anoa’i family granted his release from MLW

A member of the Anoa’i family is no longer in Major League Wrestling.

Lance Anoa’i and his tag team partner Juicy Finau have confirmed MLW has granted their releases.

Lance’s father is Samu, who competed in WWE as a member of The Wild Samoans and The Headshrinkers. He is also the nephew of Afa Anoa’i Jr. and L.A. Smooth.

Lance appeared on the May 27, 2019 episode of WWE Raw, respresenting the Anoa’i family in losing effort to Shane McMahon.

Anoa’i and Finau took to social media and thanked MLW for the opportunity the promotion gave them. During their time in MLW, they were known as the Samoan Swat Team. They are also former MLW World Tag Team Champions.

They last wrestled at the MLW Never Say Never event this past July.
